The hot sands were just tinged with the early light of Rukbat, as the orb lifted itself over the horizon to peer down on Top Point Weyr. The clutch, a large clutch for the young Gold, of twelve eggs had been on the sands for some time, their shells hardened, due to hatch at any time now. The Gold coiled herself around two eggs, large eggs, and all expectation was for them to be queens. What luck that would be! For Ziinyth to hatch out two little Golds from her first clutch, such a grand sign for the Weyr! Ziinyth's wedge-shaped head rested by her paws, the diminutive figure of Kisa leaning agains it, one hand absently stroking the eyeridge of her dragon. I never want this to end Mine. It is too perfect. With a deep sigh, the Gold groaned, enjoying the simply pleasure of being alone for a moment with Kisa, not having anyone bothering them with inevitable Weyrwoman duties and business, and worst of all politics. But it would not last long, for befotre Kisa could even respond to her beloved Gold, an egg shook violently, toppling itself, and Ziinyth blinked in suprise, lifting her head to stare almost curiously at the fallen egg. Oh... I think the hatching will be today. The simplicity of the statement brought a laugh from Kisa, and she slapped Ziinyth's golden shoulder lovingly before moving away. "Then hum you silly wher, let the world know your clutch is going to hatch!"The Gold nodded eagerly, and from deep in her chest burbled a hum, the air seeming to vibrate as she started the ceremonial sound, one that was slowly picked up by every dragon in the Weyr, and many firelizards as well, dragons and candidates arriving to fill the stands and dance impatiently on the scalding sands, all eyes on the eggs as an air of expectation, of suspense, lingered heavily. Bright, warm, and lounging on the beach. Sand sifting through splayed fingers in a tawny rain. Heaven? No. at her side rested no dragon, no friend, Mia's lovely dream, turned from a paradise to just another day, just another memory. It was shattered though, images of warmth and water swept away as she roused, someone shaking her should furiously and hollaring at her. Something about a Hatching. Who cared about a- Hatching? Mia shot up, one arm shoving aside the girl who had woke her, and looked about, her ears straining to catch the sound of humming, the tell-tale sign that eggs were ready to break open, and again, dragons would find their lifemates. The girl all but fell out of her cot in her hurry to be up, stumbling around the egde until she could dig through the chest at the foot of the bed, searching for her white robes and sandels, the traditional clothing for a Hatching. Where were they? They had to be somewhere in the chest, but where? Her eyes narrowed and she intensely hunted, tossing anything that was not the desired garb to the floor at her feet or onto her cot until she accidentally tossed the white fabric to the floor as well. "Shards!" Scowling she tugged the robe in and tied the belt around her waist, turning her attentions fully to finding her sandels. With another curse she flung her hands up and flopped to the ground, her gaze straying to peer under her cot, and find the stray sandels. Naturally. Why was nothing left where she put it? shaking her head she pulled them on as well, and rose to her feet, mumbling to herself and dashing out of the barracks. Had the eggs no sense of time? Who in their right mind was going to be awake at this hour? As she skittered through the halls and passages to the Hatching Grounds, Mia's mind wandered back to the fading scraps of her dream. Of sitting on a warm, sunny beach, alone. Was that to be her fate? Never to Impress to a dragon, never to find the one being who could complete her in so many ways? She fought back a shudder as she reached the sands, and slowed her pace to a brisk walk, pleased to see she was among the earlier arrivals. As she danced her way over the much-to-hot-for-her-sandeled-feet sands, she let a little smile creep over her lips, and felt the surge of butterflies rise in her stomach, excited, eager, and filled with suspense. Today might be the day, would be the first day of the rest of her life, but would it be the day she was waiting for with baited breath? Only the hatchlings would be able to tell, only fate could decide. Hatched: 3/12 Bronze Misanthroth Bronze Arkairtyh Blue
Impresed: Bronze Misanthroth to H'sail (NPC) Bronze Arkairyth to L'card

Seabriel was running late, which was a normal occurrence for the small girl. She'd just stepped out of a bathing room when Tranth, her blue Flit, had begun to dive and hum at her. It had taken but a moment before the girl was struggling into her white robes that showed she would have the chance to Impress of the Dragonettes that where just waiting to hatch. She'd had to stop and switch her sandals to the proper foot once she had noticed she'd put them on the wrong feet. By the way Tranth was humming the Hatching couldn't been happening yet, it had to have been just starting. She hoped.
She had given up trying to find the way herself and had agreed to let the small blue Flit guide her. He would stop, check to see if she was still following and then he would scold her like he was a Queen and she a lowly blue. She scowled at the Flit and muttered curses that she had learned from the male apprentices under her breath. That Lizard was thinking Highly of himself in the presence of Dragons and other Flits. She was a bit worried that his attitude would anger one or more dragons that called Top Point their home.
She bowed slightly to Riders she met on the way, a habit left over from her days at Harper Hall. It took her a good few minutes to finally reach the Sands. And what was the first things she did when her feet touched the heated sands? In a loud voice that carried well, thanks to her training, she almost screeched out,"Shells, but that's hot!" She blushed under her tan and stole a look at the Young Queen and her Rider. What a first impression to make. Seabriel chuckled slightly to herself over the Pun as she made her way over to stand among the other Candidates.

Dev had just been catching a bit sleep Blaze his bronze firelizard dozing on his chest dozing away.
the little bronze started to let out a low little hum but still kept his eyes shoot
Dev payed little attention to the bronze humming as he did it that often that it was something you just ignored over time.
Blazes pitch started to get deeper and then he woke digging his claws into Dev’s chest
Dev sat up a bit “Hoy give over i ain’t a pin cushion” he said picking up the hum noise. “What’s that?” he asked hoping the firelizard would give him more insight but the hum just got louder. R’reek darted round the candidate barrack’s rousing a few people he saw Dev… “Come on lad shake yourself or you’ll miss the hatching.
“Hatching! Shards” Dev jumped up Blaze protesting at Dev for upsetting him “Oh I’m sorry… but it’s the hatching,” looking for the robes. “Blaze where’s the robes” but the firelizard just hummed.
R’reek spotted the robe “here, now hurry before your late” R’reek said moving on to the next lot.
Dev pulled the robes on looking at himself in a mirror “Shells I look like a girl in this get up“ he said pulling on the collar of his robe, he really thought they would give them something better to wear than this, but it would have to do and he quickly headed to the hatching ground . Dev entered the hatching ground he spotted the huge Gold queen he bowed to her as he entered the hatching ground and then took his place with the other boy candidates, his eyes on the eggs watching them move

Max was sitting at the table at the end of the boy side of the barracks fixing a belt for another candidate the clasp would not hold the leather and it kept slipping. It was a old clasp and the teeth were worn and not digging into the leather to hold it on to the leather, he was trying to file the teeth so that they were sharp bit it looked like it would needed a new set of teeth. He could do that if he had the materials or he could take it off another clasp off another belt, he would see what the candidate wanted.
Greg came in humming at Max
“What’s wrong?” He asked the firelizard but quickly saw all the candidates rushing about and the white robes. He got up his ears hearing the hum of the dragons and the firelizard’s. Max quickly went back to his bunk putting the stuff back.
G’ree had followed R’reek round handing out the robes and get a few candidates ready, he kept hold of a large robe, he spotted Max throwing it to him “Here Morga was insistent the robe be in a size to fit you” Side
Max took it “Thanks” he said pulling the robe on “don’t think I suit this” he said as he looked down at himself.
“Aye well you only have to wear that long then you can be out of it” G’ree said remembering he didn’t like the robes much. “Good luck” G’ree said seeing R’reek and walking over to him. “Shouldn’t you be on the sand next to Kisa, big moment Weyrleader, 2 big eggs...if its two Queens use will be the talk of Pern” He said
Max headed to the hatching sand, giving a low bow to Ziinyth as he entered heading over to where Dev stood, he looked to the stands seeing his mother and father there with his youngest sister and his little brother, who was grinning like mad and waving at Max. Max returned the wave knowing his brother would not sit still for his parents till Max waved back, Max motioned with is hand for his brother to sit and then put a finger to his mouth to mean quiet and then turned to watch the sands and the eggs seeing the two big eggs

Something was happening. That was the first thing to cross Zyrii's mind as she suddenly received an assortment of emotions from Tyran, who was relaying the general feeling of the Weyr's population of fire-lizards. Moments later, she realized there was a strange humming, and seconds after that she had decided it must belong to the dragons and fire-lizards, which could only mean that the Hatching was starting. Panicking, she momentarily forgot what to do, then, after recalling the white robes, realized that with so much in her head she couldn't remember where they were. After forcing herself to calm down she managed to locate them and get changed, though she almost ran out barefoot. Luckily, she tripped over her own boot, and, at the sight of it tossed carelessly on the floor, she recalled that there had been sandals with the robe. Turning back, she quickly got her feet into the sandals before setting off again.
The trip from the barracks to the Hatching Sands was likely the fastest she had ever run in her life, and the reaction to the heat of the sands was probably the shortest distance she'd ever taken to go from running to a halt. She had known they would be hot, but it wasn't something she had thought about while racing through the Weyr, desperate to get there as quickly as possible, despite the fact that she wasn't even late. However, it seemed a good idea to try to arrive a little early so that she could claim and hold a spot closer to the eggs. Of course, when deciding that, she hadn't considered the fact that there would be very few female candidates compared to male and there wasn't any chance of getting stuck behind several rows because there simply wouldn't be that many.
The initial shock at the temperature change below her feet wore off and, even though it still felt hot, she managed to bow to the gold and make her way over to the two eggs that were set apart from the others. After stopping again, she became aware of the feeling of claws digging into her shoulder. Tyran. "You shouldn't be here with me. Go watch from..." She trailed off, realizing she wasn't sure where to send him. In a moment of inspiration, however, she gestured to the stands where people watched the Hatching from. "Go over there. That's where everyone else who's watching will be. You can do that, too." The candidate worried that the little creature might try to stop her from Impressing a dragon. After all, he was always after her attention and wouldn't like having to share. Just in case, it was definitely best to keep him away.
He had just gotten comfortable again, too. With an irritated chirp, the blue fire-lizard took off from his perch and flew towards the indicated area in search of others of his species. The first time he caught sight of another fire-lizard, he would dive down and settle near it, regardless of any nearby humans. They could just make room for him. At least, he liked to entertain such a thought, but he would not have actually tried to get one of them to move.

“Yeah but if its two large Bronzes, it will not be to good on me or Kisa” R’reek said watching the candidates rush about. R’reek headed to the sands taking the entrance the closest to Kisa and Ziinyth he walked up slowly to Kisa “How’s she doing” he asked Kisa knowing some queens could be very protective over their first clutch. He noticed one of the candidates turn to wave back at what must be his family seeing a younger boy waving madly. But the candidate made a motion with his hand for the boy to sit and to shush. R’reek tried to name the boy “Have you thought anymore about my suggestion for G’ree to be Weyrling Master”

Kisa smiled at R'reek as he entered the grounds. for a moment she was irked that he'd not been there earlier, a flash of temper from Ziinyth undoubtably, not originating in the rider, but the feeling was pushed aside. He was a Weyrleader now, and he had a lot to do as well. "She didn't expect them to hatch, I don't think. Silly thing won't budge from the two big ones, I hope they aren't both golds, heavens... Zii's head might get too big for her to sleep on her couch." Ziinyth grumbled through her humming. Of course her head would still fit into their weyr! She wasn't that full of herself, now was she? The Gold's humming grew more urget as candidates appeared, filling the sands and waiting eagerly, all for the clutch, for her clutch. Pleased with herself, she ducked her head to nudge the two eggs she was still cradleing protectively, the eggs that were so large it was hard to think of anything else that might hatch from one of them, save from pretty little queens. The eggs shivered on, a second had tumbled over and started rolling about on the sands, looking almost as if the hatchling inside were trying to do just that. With a muted sigh, the Gold knew it was time to step away from her eggs, and to watch. Her work was done for the moment, only if queens were hatched would she have much to do with any of the new weyrlings. Rising from the hot sands, the Gold carefully moved away, taking her place at the edge of the sands, and looking on as Kisa too moved away to the stands. "Come on R'reek, if we don't hurry and grab a spot close to the front we'll have to sit in the back!" The very thought of that lit a fire in Kisa. This was Zii's first clutch, there was no way she would sit anywhere but the very front of the stands. Just as Kisa reached the stands and settled to her seat, thankfully at the front as she'd hoped, the egg that had been rolling around grew still. A soft tapping could be heard, perhaps a claw? A thin crack appeared, snaking over the shell hurriedly, followed by more similar cracks, as bit by bit the egg started to break apart. Mia watched with little interest as candidates gathered on the sands around her. Instead she focused on shifting from one foot to the other restlessly, trying not to burn the soles of her feet too badly, and watching the eggs. What would hatch first? Everyone said that if a Bronze broke shell before any others, it was good luck for the Weyr. They needed it too. But what of the large eggs, the two the qaueen just recently abandoned now that the hatching was happening? If they were indeed the expected Golds, that too would be a good sign, if they hatched first. But of course that would never happen, who ever heard of a queen being the first to break shell? No, her attention would have to settle for the active egg that rocked and rolled over the sands, rather odd looking for all the antics, and then grew still. Anticipation welled inside her as the egg started to slowly crack. Shards what was taking so long? Hatchlings were never so careful to get free and find their bonded, their lifemate. Scowling she crossed her arms, shifting back and forth on her feet. Indeed, it appeared the egg was in no great hurry. Finally the first chunk of shell fell off, revealing a flash of dark hide, light reflecting off it in a blinding flash. That was all it took ,for as soon as that glimpse of hide was revealed, the hatchling thrashed about, shattering the rest of his sheel and rolling onto the sand in a ball of wet hide. A Bronze, elated voices rang in the stands as the little king lifted his head. His hide was dark, almost black in color, the metallic sheen making him look much like a terran oil slick, for where the light reflected and dazzled, a rainbow of hues danced over the darker colors. His wings unfurled, and he stared at the candidates with something akin to shock as he righted himself. sand clung wetly to his body, some in clumps, other places just a few grains. Hatched: 1/12
Impressed: 0/12

Seabriel glanced around the sands, watching as people began to file in. She knew her family wouldn't be in the sands, there was far too many of them to bring. Her father and sister had accepted the news gracefully while her brothers sighed, thankful that they would not be forced to watch their youngest sibling excel at something then had not been given the chance to try.
Tranth's fluttering finally began to unnerve her."Tranth, you silly little Lizard, you can't be on the Grounds, the Queen might eat you! Or the little ones might!" The little Blue chipped once firmly before his eyes began to whirl a light orange. It seemed he was a bit worried. The small Flit flickered out of sight, only to appeared near a cluster of his own kind in the Stands. he cheeped once at a few Blues and a Green before he settled down to watch.
The small girl resisted the urge to gasp and take a step back when the first egg began to shake and rattle. What would Jenna say if she saw her younger sister cowed? She'd scold her while her brothers laughed. Her Masters would sigh and say that she was no use and the Apprentices would laugh and say that they where right about her all along. She gritted her chin, her stubborn steak emerging. If she could stand the wrath of Harpers then she could stand the idea of a possible mauling.
She did gasp though when the small Bronze broke shell. By the golden Egg of Faranth, was he a beauty! She felt her chest ache a bit. This is how she had felt when she had seen Tranth hatch a scant eight turns ago. If just the sight of a Hatching almost brought her to tears what would happen if she happened to Impress?

K’inzar quickly landed with Arkth and made his way to along the stands to find a spot to watch the hatching. He had just delivered his last lot of people to watch the Hatching, the last lot had been a family from the smith hall with two young children with them one a young boy who was very talkative to K’inzar, going on about his brother none stop from the moment he had got on Arkth’s back. He looked along the line seeing the family and then looking at the hatching sand, he hoped who ever the boys brother was did well.
F’hursna was standing right at the back so far back he could not see the hatching ground. He was only here because it was expected of him, but truthfully he didn’t want to be here, but it would look bad if he wasn’t

”Oh dear” R’reek said thinking it would make the hatching hard if the queen wouldn’t let the eggs go. “If its two queens, you will be the talk of Pern and even if its only one queen it will be the first hatched here at Top Point” R’reek said knowing this would be big for the weyr, they needed a healthy clutch to prove the weyr would go on. R’reek looked around he was actually a bit overwhelmed, he was not use to being a weyrleader, shells he was still handling being a wing second. He was use to getting given the orders not being the one giving them out. He followed quickly on following Kisa to the seats thinking that there was still some underlined attention between them and his being late to the hatching would not help things. So he wouldn’t upset her by making her be at the back for her dragons first clutches hatching. “That wont happen i made sure seats were left at the front for us” R’reek said sitting down seeing the egg move. “Its starting”
Dev stood trying not to fidget it may put the dragon off. He whished he had better foot wear on his feet. Dev jumped when the egg rolled over the sand. Dev watched it shake and then come apart seeing the Bronze, to Dev he looked huge and strong. Who ever got him would truly be lucky.
R’reek watched “A bronze that’s a really good sign” he said happy it had been a bronze first, though the colour was dark, but the colour would help keep the dragonet warm in the sun

K’inzar leaned forward looking at the hatching ground seeing the egg roll and then hatch “ A bronze” He said happy that it was a strong looking bronze. A bronze was always said to be a good sign a Gold would make the clutch better, it would prove the weyr had a strong queen, though it may upset Rio, but they needed at least a 3rd queen

E’lric landed just as the hatching started making his way to the seat that Talia has kept for him
Talia looked at her older brother “Greetings wingleader, your late” She said H’ton had elected not to come. She was happy to see E’lric had got the knots for wingleader back.
”Sorry had some to seek permission form my weyrleader to let my wingsecond take over to days drill…so i may not keep these knots. What i miss”
“The first egg hatching… it’s a bronze…so if we keep to the bet you lose again” Talia said to her brother
”I didn’t make the bet this time so you get nothing” E’lric said him and Talia always had a little bet that a gold would hatch first, not likely to happen but E’lric still kept it, he may win on day.

One of the eggs was moving. Zyrii had just looked over at the main part of the clutch when it started. Of course the first egg to hatch would be over there. The chances of a gold hatching first were very slim. Though, she reflected, possibly not as slim as the chance of two golds in the same clutch. Well, it didn't matter now, as it was already obvious which one would be first. But what color? She had heard that it was good luck if a bronze hatched first. The egg seemed to be hatching slowly, but maybe it was just anxiety slowing down her sense of time.
After what felt like forever, she could finally see the dragon coming out of its shell. It was a bronze, after all. Hopefully that saying was true; good luck for the Weyr would be nice, especially if she managed to Impress and become a dragon rider here. Her gaze followed the movement of the hatchling, though occasionally it shifted to the group of male candidates as she wondered who would Impress. She didn't know any of them, so it's not like it would actually make a difference to her, but it was something to think about to pass the time.
The sand... The little bronze had managed to get sand on himself. It took a massive effort on Zyrii's part to keep from bursting out laughing. It wasn't exactly the image she'd had of a Hatching, but then, she hadn't thought about the fact that stand does stick to anything wet. At that moment, she could feel Tyran's confusion as he tried to comprehend his owner's sudden emotional change. After all, a creature that had been born the same way didn't find it nearly as amusing.

The little Bronze arched his neck, creeling balefully as he realized he was coated in sand. Indignant, he made a failing atempt to brush himself off with his wings, tumbling himself back onto the ground in an unsteady heap, his newly-hatched legs not used to weight, and like any hatchling he was unsteady. His nose buried in sand, he snorted, a plume of the grit flying up about him and fluttering down as the second egg quivered not five feet from the little Bronze. The first one, startled by the energy shown by the egg, righted himself in a hurry, clambering into the group of male candidates before sliding to a halt and looking over his shoulder at the eggs, his eyes wheeling nervously, anxiously. With a jolt, as though realizing how he surely looked, the Bronze grumbled to himself and gave his shoulders a little shake, his head lifting in a show of arrogance and confidence as he strode confidently on, utterly ignoring the laughter that drifted to him, or the stares that hide laughter, barely supressed. Hautily he stumbled into a lad, and for a moment seemed shocked by that as well, before his eyes wheeled the rainbow hues of Impression, and the boy gave a happy cheer, pumping a fst into the air exhuberently. The egg that had startled the little, darkly colored Misanthroth gave another violent shudder, that it was more eager to be free of it's shell was obvious. But a heartnbeat later, the hard shell shattered, falling in a hail of fragments around a second Bronze, this one much larger than his brother, his hide a pale shade, washed out it seemed, his wings slightly darker, as were his legs to the knees, and the tip of his bifurcated tail. With a furious hiss he darted away from the remains of his prison, his hide gleaming wetly. For that moment he proved to be intimidating, dangerous, until he fouled himself on a wing, tangling in the membrane and faling in a flailing knot of limbs. Watching with excitement, Kisa had given a whoop of joy as the first little Bronze hatched and then Impressed. In her happiness at the event, she'd grabbed R'reek's arm, turning to his, her saphire eyes dancing with the heated flame of her passion, of her love for Ziinyth and her pride in the Gold dragon. Yes, there was much to be worked out between Kisa and R'reek, but there were more important things to worry aout for the time being, and Kisa's mind was occupied entirely in the Hatching. Ziinyth crooned approvingly as the first Bronze Impressed and the second hatched. Fine little beasts they were, and they would make good additions to the Weyr as well. Mia's heart sped up as she watched the Bronzes hatch, and the first impress. Always, it was so very exciting, no matter what her odds were, no matter what chances she might have. Every time she stood on the sands, she was filled with the same swelling hope, the same breathtaking joy as she watched the faces of those lucky ones. She had to close her eyes for a moment to regain herself, to keep her composure firmly in place. To remind herself to breathe. Shivering, she opened them again, studying the newly hatched Bronze as he darted with a hiss foward, only to fall. Something told her not to laugh, thankfully. Some little vioce deep in her mind cautioned for silence this time. The first hadn't minded laughter so much, but this one was not like his brother. But it was still a Bronze, still a very good sign for the Weyr with two hatching so soon, for the first hatchlings of the clutch to both be Bronze. Her eyes wandered to the two large eggs, the two that were expected to be Gold. What of them? Would they hatch next? Would she possibly impress one of them? She prayed not, Miaxhote had no desire for the responsibility of a Gold, much less the attention that she'd receive as the first Goldrider to Impress in the Weyr. No... shed be happy with a Green, or maybe as one of the rare few Blueriders on Pern... Hatched: 2/12 Bronze Misanthroth Bronze
Impressed: 1/12 Bronze Misanthroth to H'sail (NPC)

Rio sat to the side out of the way watching the hatching take place before her eyes. She had looked at the eggs a few times just quickly from the door way when they had been hardening less Kisa and Ziinyth see her. The two big eggs interested her the most a few rumours that flew round said it would be two Gold’s and said it was a good thing, but wouldn’t two gold’s hatched at the same hatching mean they would rise at the same time to…Rio wondered if she was the only one who had thought of this, but she hadn’t said anything in case people said she was just jalousie of Kisa’s gold and of having two new queens.
G’ree made his way to the stands passing Rio, there was a space near her “Can i sit here” He asked her only talking to her a few times in passing, but she would be having lessons later on with him as the new weyrline master.
Rio looked up seeing G’ree talk to her, she hadn’t talked to many people here yet after her first few days and casing such trouble Rio had hide herself away from everyone, but F’hursna always seamed to find her and talk to her. “Yeah” She moved along for G’ree to sit
”Thanks…this place packed out quick R’reek must have got as many people on dragon back who would ride between and face the cold” G’ree said
Rio just nodded her head…she was unsure what to say not knowing the rider well and unsure what his name was. Also the whole fact that she wanted to stay as invisible as she could to day.
G’ree realised Rio looked a tad unsure about things and realised she may not know his name. Sat forward watching the first bronze hatch and see him move about the sand “G’ree, brown rider of Aloth” he said as an after thought to Rio thinking it helpful for her to know his name.
He watched the Bronze run from the second egg as it hatched, G’ree laughed. Everyone thought bronzes big and strong, but when they first hatched they scared as easy as any child.
Rio looked at G’ree when he said who he was “nice to meet you G’ree” she said happy to be able to talk to the man by name…if she could muster up the courage to have a conversation. Everything had to go right to day for Kisa nothing could go wrong…or if it did it would be something that was nothing what so ever to do with Rio.
”Is there anyone down on the sands you know?” he asked thinking her nervousness might be down to having anxiety for a candidate to impress
Rio shook her head “No… older brother are too old and were never searched and my youngest brother and sister too young” Rio said not feeling any better bringing up her older brothers
”ah so you were a Hold candidate” G’ree said though none of where you were from mattered in the weyr. G’ree know that the best.
”Hold and weyr born in Ista Hold and was fostered in the Weyr. My mum had a relation who worked there who was my foster mother. when i was old enough there was a hatching at East Cliff and not one at Ista so they sent me to East Cliff and i impressed there” Rio said thinking to avoid any questions say how she had ended up at East Cliff to come here
G’ree nodded “And they sent you here, bet you whish you could go back to Ista instead of here” he said thinking it would be warmer there
”No not really” Rio said liking the fact she was miles away from her brother.
-------on the sands---------
Max watched the bronze as it move over the sand getting covered in the stuff to. He held in a laugh as the hatchling went tumbling over the sand as it tried to rid its self of the sand. When it buried its nose in sand Max wanted to go help it, like he had do when his little brother had been unsure on his legs, but Max know that he was not to help now the dragon had to come to them or call someone to help.
Max moved out of the way pulling Dev with him as the little bronze came barrelling into the line of male candidates. He had heard stories of the candidates getting hurt by a surprised Dragonet Max laughed not at the dragonets action but how it chastise its self for being so silly at running from a rocking egg and then stumbled into a boy. Max clapped for the first boy who had impressed but quickly turned his attention to the sands and the rocking egg. It seamed to brake apart so violently he was surprised the shards did not hit the bystanders. He looked patchy in colour with the light bronze hide and then dark wings, leg and tail. But he was well bigger than the first and looked just as healthy.

Dev nearly fell as Max pulled him out of the way of the young dragonet and would have protested but thankful the Smith boy had or he may be facing dragon claw marks. “Thanks” was all he could manage as his attention was on the dragonet filly, which would it, chose? He saw it run from the shaking egg that rocked about, he stifled a giggle thinking it may hurt the dragon’s feelings. Dev felt a cloud of dread fill his insides as the dragonet impressed a boy only two along from him, be so close and just still so far and that meant there was one less egg and one less chance for him to impress. Dev turned his attention to the other egg the dragnet was free not from its casing, it was not as sharply coloured as its brother but what the colour lacked this one made up for in its size...it had to be a good hand or two taller than the last and he looked a bit mean with his wings spread like that.
R’reek watched the sands as the first egg hatched. They looked sweet when they first hatched but that would soon change after the first two days wore in and you had to feed them several times a day. R’reek watched as the first bronze nearly went into the boy candidates, thank goodness the tall lad had the brains to move and pull another out of the way also.
He was surprised when Kisa grabbed his hand and he saw all the passion that was in her eyes for this moment in time, if only he could get passed the things that held them a part, he wanted to understand her and help her run this weyr. He had a lot to prove to show her, that he was the right person. He gripped her hand “Well done a health bronze and a second one to follow, that is brilliant” he said he was so unsure how to go one with Kisa, he wanted to hug her.

K’inzar clapped like mad when the first egg hatched and impressed. A bronze hatching first was lucky.
Lucarda stood just a little way from the other boys, he hadn’t want to make to many friends in case he didn’t stay and not many trusted a Bitra, which Lucarda know he wouldn’t. He watched the bronze hatch and then impress the boy along from him. Lucarda never felt so uncertain about odds in his life. He didn’t care if he didn’t impress, he just didn’t want to go home. Lucarda’s eyes where on the next bronze he was bigger than the last but his colour looked unfinished, Lucarda liked it.

Seabriel gave a loud sigh ebfore she quickly covered her mouth. The little bronze was a real beauty. She'd love to Impress a Dragon like that, but she wasn't a male at all. She glanced down at her body. Nope, she was still a girl. She chuckled to herself at the thought, but her breath quickly caught once a second Dragon broke shell. The shell seemed to shatter and she almost expected the shards to hit someone in the sands, but they didn't.
This beast wasn't nearly as pretty as It's sibling, but it's inner strength appealed to the small girl. She watched with baited breath, just a tad bit afraid that the beast might charge into the cluster of girls. She dearly hoped not, he'd hurt himself if he tried that. What was she thinking?! The bronze Beast would hurt them! But she wasn't too worried. After all Dragons didn't really eat humans...Right?

”Not a problem” Max said as he re took his place watching the sands. The eggs fascinated him just as much ad the dragonets them selves. If one could carve a wooden egg hollow it out line it with something and have it on a hinge or something and put a detailed little firelizard necklace in it. Not a dragon as that would be blasphemies, but a firelizard would be ok. Oh Max know he would have to tell his mother about the idea, she would like it. Max pulled his attention back to the sands and the dragon eggs now, it would do no good for his attention to wonder at this moment

The lightly colored Bronze glared at the candidates for a moment, his lips peeling back as he hissed, tail lashing behind him and sending sprays of sand to either side. How dare anyone laugh ta him? He was a Bronze! And he was meant to be the Weyrking one day! Silly children. they were better suited to greens and the like for all the apparent wit! Grumbling to himself he stalked foward, his manner much different from his smaller brother's as his head wove like a viper, his eyes shifting restlessly from one candidate to another. the girls were utterly ignored, they had no use to him unless they Impress a gold, and even then, they would likely not rank semnior Queens in their lives. He had high expectations in life, and even if he never reached them, they would never change. Frustrated that he seemed unable to find something he was looking for, or rather someone, the bronze struvck out at the nearest boys, his claws seeking blood to settle his mind, to test the mettle of those placed before him. While the Bronze was prowling about, a Blue hatched from his shell, rolling out with a little warble and opoking at the world upside down. His hide was solid colored, a deep, harper blue, no other hue or shading apparent. For a moment he remained upside down, before rolling to his belly and crooning in an almost musical voice. The Harpers in the stands were taken with the Blue, for he was not only atractive, but had a wonderful voice, were he a human they'd have happily snatched him up for their craft and refused to allow him to leave. Shaking himself, he shoved his paws under him and rose, letting out as cavernous yawn and stretching out his wings. Cheerily, he looked at the candidates, seeming to wink at a few of them before noticing his Brinze sibling, prowling through the males. Well, he'd have to remember to avoid that one, he would. Nodding to himself, the blue bounced foward, prancing into the middle of the girls candidates and looking abiout for a moment. Oh, some of them were just so very pretty! In a bliss he dashed up to one girl after another, peering at them, nd blowing in their faces, rumbling gleefully as their hair danced about their faces. Ignoring the silly blue, the Bronze finally found His, pouncing on the boy and pinning him. With his head looming over Lucarda, the Bronze gave a pleased Warble. L'cardOwn, you will never think again that your Arkairyth is unfinished or you may loose limb. We will do great things in the future, but first you will feed me. The Broonze seemed not to care that he may very well be hurting His, stand atop the boy and not minding his claws in the least. If anything, it almost seemed the Bronzse was reinforcing his warning, he was dfar from unfinished, he was whole and he was perfect! Kisa had, for a few moments, had her doubts about the second Bronze. He didn't seem so... Well so friendly as the first. If anything she had a bit of a bad feeling about the lighter one, the way he snapped at the candidates, and even now that he'd Impressed, he seemed to have no regard to Lucarda- No, it was L'card now- and his safety. At least the Blue whod just hatched seeme dhappy enough, a peppy littl ething he was, and such a sweet-sounding voice! She shot a glance to R'reek, smiling, and tilted her head slightly. Both of the bronzes have impressed. What do you think of the Blue? He's a darling for sure, but i wonder if he really is going to Impress to one of our girls..." It wasn't entirely unheard of for a blue to pick a fremale for it's lifemate, just uncommon. Mia had been paying more attention to the Bronze than the newly hatched Blue, and so when the hatchling appeared before her, tilting his head from one side to the other and peering curiously at her. At first, Mia had thought he would impress to her, but then, like he did with every other girl, the Blue expelled a breathe of warm air in her face and danced away, rumbling merrily. The girl looked after the hatchling longingly, how she wished a dragon would find her worthy! Hatched: 3/12 Bronze Misanthroth Bronze Arkairtyh Blue
Impresed: Bronze Misanthroth to H'sail (NPC) Bronze Arkairyth to L'card
