H’ton waited a bit for everything to be cleared away he was not going to talk while a lot of noise was going on .
-------------------
B’hamut didn’t say anything on this matter “I hope who ever does go to Top Point knows what they are getting into” he said knowing it was cold there

“They will, Talia and H’ton are making sure they are being careful about who is going to be the new queen of Top Point. What they will have to be very careful about is who will be WeyrLeader.” K’ttak said shacking his head “I can not see F'hursna’s Yadrath flying a young queen, F'hursna loved Palin very much and their dragons shared that. I think it hurt them both very much when their granddaughter was killed…Top Point gave them both something to live for, but with Palin gone i cant see F’hursna remaining in Top Point…”
“He’s not going to suicide is he?” Astra said knowing it was not unheard of in a weyr for one to do something after the loss of a loved one, but it still did not seam right some how the weyr needed every good rider especially with night time falls
K’ttak looked at Astra “I don’t know…I hope not” he said really not sure about it.

S’ren put an arm round Astra “Hey come on, it’s the way of things some time and it hasn’t happened and may not happen who is to say what will happen” S’ren said seeing that this upset Astra a bit.
Timov had to smile S’ren may come out with a lot of odd things but then he came out with some really kind things.
S’ren decided a change of subject was in order. “So who do we think is likely to try and be Weyrleader of Top Point?” he looked at B’hamut “Any likely riders at Top Point who would try for Weyrleader

B’hamut did not like to think of Top Point with out F'hursna. Mind he had not liked the thought of it with out Palin, but it was a reality now and they had to live with it. “Yeah there are a few good one’s who would make good Weyrleader’s but there is double that many who would make bad one’s” He said trying to think who else may be in with a chance.

“Hmm i heard one of F’hursna’s grandson’s was thought to be a favourite and one of his son’s?” K’ttak had heard from a Harper friend.
Astra felt comforted by S’rens arm but the though still upset her “I here’s talk of one of Zi’s brothers was likely to try” Astra said knowing what Zi had told her.
K’ttak looked at Astra “Yeah i hard that to, it wont be her eldest brother, he’s after being weyrleader here” K’ttak said knowing that that man had ambition to remove H’ton from his position, to bad his dragon could not keep up with Quinith and K’ttak know Talia could not stand this man, though he was a favourite in the weyr. “though there’s a good few who could try for it…it s been declared open”
“Does that mean Talia’s brother can try for the position?” Astra asked she liked the bronze rider the few time she had met him.
K’ttak mad a face then laughed “Oh... i would hate to be around here when that happens, H’ton will be very mad for a few days, maybe turns”

S’ren looked round “Who’s Talia’s brother>” He asked not knowing Talia had a brother.
Timov laughed “oh i would like to see that, but does he have the motivation to be a weyrleader?” Timov asked she had been introduced to the bronze rider by K’ttak, he was about her own age tall very friendly to wards her. K’ttak had later told her why he never came around the weyr. Timov was on E’lrics side H’ton should never have hit Talia, even if he was drunk.

“E’lric bronze rider of Godarth from Sunset Beach weyr” K’ttak said to S’ren who would not have met the bronze rider.
“If you pop up to East Cliff Hold on a rest day you might see him, he does not come to the weyr, much” astra said, the bronze rider he was very friendly and funny
“ He’s not meant to come to the Weyr at all and don’t mention he’s been here or at the Hold near H’ton. He’s in a bad enough mood as it is adding his dislike of E’lric will only add to our problems” K’ttak said
Astra held her hands up “I wont say anything to H’ton, I’m a green rider no one pays me any mind, I’m just part of the wing”

“E’lric?” B’hamut said not there was a name he know “Bronze rider of Godarth?” T’zack had told B’hamut about the rider and he had met the bronze rider a few time’s. Some said he should be at Top Point himself, but he never knows why. He didn’t know E’lric and Talia were related, he wondered if T’zack had known the two were related. He thought about telling T’zack and then remembered he couldn’t and he felt the loneliness he felt over his friends loss, and thought he know part of how F'hursna though his must be worse to have been with Palin for all those turn’s.

Astra looked at B’hmaut when he mentioned E’lric “Do you know E’lric?” She asked not thinking E’lric would have gone to Top point, or had he gone there for as a mild warning for a seven day for hitting H’ton, but B’hamut looked sad she wondered what could have upset him.
K’ttak looked over at B’hamut “Well it is a small world Kittak said wondering how B’hamut know E’lric, though he know E’lric got about

B’hamut took a drink of wine pushing down his sorrow and trying not to think of it. “T’zack introduced us one time when he took me out of the weyr to do a sweep ride. He was a very friendly man and he didn’t treat me like most do when they hear where i am from” B’hamut said thinking and hoping they know what he meant by that. As it was hard to go to new places when the moment you told people where you were from they thought the worst of you

K’ttak nodded “That sounds like E’lric, he does not judge people from where they are from” he said glade B’hamut had not said E’lric had been sent to Top Point if it was then E’lric had kept that very quiet and secretive. No he could not see E’lric being sent to Top Point, he had justified why he had hit H’ton that 4 turns or so back.

S’ren looked between the three “I must be the only one here who has not met this E’lric” He said slightly laughing. “So come on someone tell me what this E’lric is like?” S’ren asked
Timov laughed S’ren sounded like a child not let in on a joke and it was not like him as S’ren seamed to know a lot of people from the other Weyrs. “That’s not true Astra, people do pay use green riders mind” Timov said “If it was not for use green riders helping the wings fight a thread fall.
S’ren held in a laugh as he heard about E’lric, he picked up on the tone in B’hamuts voice as he said about people treating him oddly because of where he was from. “I know how that feel, traders get a lot of stick for being different because we move around so we don’t belong in one place to long”
Timov turned looking at S’ren and patting him on the head “Aww” she said trying not to laugh
“That’s not funny” S’ren said at the sarcastic sympathy.
Timov laughed “My father always looked forward to the traders coming by” Timov said

Dashing through the halls, with Ziinyth rumbling in her mind and scolding her for forgetting about the meeting, it was such an important one, shouldn't the rider have been there early, Kisa skidded around corners and dodged around anyone left in the halls. Oh she was late. She ground her teeth as her feet pounded over the last few steps, and she burst into the meeting, panting and brushing raven hair out of her cerulean eyes with a shy smile. "I'm sorry. Ziinyth wanted a bath, and..." She lifted her hand helplessly and shrugged as she trailed off. When the Gold wanted something, it was hard to refuse. She just didn't think it would have taken so long. On the bright side, the Gold was now happily clean and sunning herself. ~Of course, though I still think you should just forget about that meeting and come back. We could go for a nice swim.~[/i] Kisa sighed. As always, Ziinyth was trying to get her to shirk duties and play. With luck the Gold would settle herself down after she'd risen. //Maybe later, my love. For now i have to be here, and I'm sure I'll get an earful for being late as it is.// Ziinyth gave a mental snort and decided to doze, Kisa was being boring again, and if the Gold was going to be stuck in the Weyr she'd get some sleep. "I'm not too late, am I?"

Talia looked over at Kisa come rushing in. She put her head down, that was not a good entrance for a soon to be weyrwomen. Talia glanced over at H’ton mouthing the words “Your chose” to him. They had agreed they would each chose who would go and H’ton had agreed to Kisa, well at least she would keep Rio in line. Kisa was a ideal chose to go to Top Point she had a strong personality and she would needed it to pull the Weyr behind her when she became weyrwomen.
K’ttak looked round seeing Kisa come running in the hall, luckily she was close to his table “Get your self up to the top table quickly my dear before our weyrleader loses it and you undo all of Talia’s work of calming him” he whispered to Kisa.
Talia looked over at K’ttak smiling as she saw him direct Kisa to the top table. She smiled and then mouthed “Thank You” knowing the weyrling master could lip read.
K’ttak saw Talia mouth her thank you, he nodded his head, he was here to help

Kisa moved to her seat and sank down with a grateful smile. She wasn't entirely sure of what the outcome would be, or if her tardy arrival would affect it but she wanted to go to Top Point, had volunteered for the spot immediately, where there were some who were uneasy about the idea. Ziinyth was about to rise for her maiden flight, and who better than the lovely Gold, and her rider, for the job? They were willing to go, after all. She looked to the Weyrleader with a smile, hoping he wouldn't get upset. He seemed in a reasonable mood for the moment at least.
~Oh, I'm not so sure. Won't it be cold there?~[/i] Ziinyth roused herself long enough to say this, only to dose back off again. She did enjoy her warm places, and being able to do as she pleased, but the way Kisa made it sound, perhaps the position of senior queen might be fun after all.

Timov looked as Kisa raced in and the ran to take her place at the high table.
Rio watched as Kisa came in. Rio hid a bit of a laugh in her cup of wine. Rio had not really had much to do with Kisa, but they had met at the meetings Talia had held for the gold riders and a few of the female green rider’s of hi rank. Well there could be worse people to go to Top Point with

H’ton watched as Kisa made her way to her seat, that was not a good entrance for a soon to be weyrwomen and he caught the words his own Weyrwomen mouthed to him. He was not as good at lip reading as his mate but he know those words. Well Kisa and Ziinyth were wanting to go and she was going to be a good chose, because it was his chose. H’ton cleared his throat and then stood up “I know we are all aware of the tragic loss of the Top Point Weyr’s Weyrwomen, Palin’s and Wikranth” H’ton let a moments silence pass “It is a sad time when a weyr loses a any dragon even sadder when it is its queen, but it is unthinkable that a weyr should be with out a queen to hold order and Top Point finds its self in this. So we at East Cliff will help our neighbour’s and a weyr that has done so much to help other weyrs and ask so little. We are sending Two of our queens Kisa and Ziinyth who will be the new weyrwomen of Top Point and Riobhne and Aerith who will be her junior. We hope that theses two young dragons will adapt to the cold weather of Top Point and breed a strong generations of dragons” H’ton said indicating for both women to stand as he said their names ((Sorry not as good as the one i did have for H'ton speech))

Talia waited and listened at H’ton gave his speech that she know everyone had been waiting to hear. Wanting to know who was going and when they were going. H’ton had neglected to say when. But Talia know it would be soon, it needed to be soon, Ziinyth was growing close to her first flight and Quinith was close to rising herself and the distance between Top Point and East Cliff was enough to ensure the two queens would not react to each other

B’hamut looked up at the top table looking at Rio and Kisa, well it had been decided. He felt a pang of guilt and sorrow it felt like Palin and Wikranth were just being forgotten about and replaced. Though he know Top Point needed a Weyrwomen and from what he had heard and seen Kisa would make a fine weyrwomen for Top Point.

Kisa rose from her seat as she was bid, dropping any hint of insecurity or apology from her appearance in the blink of an eye, taking on a calm, determined exterior. While inside she was smiling smugly, more than just proud to be named as the next Weyrwoman for Top Point, but as a rider and dragon seen fit to replace Palin and Wikranth. She may never fill the shoes she was stepping into perfectly, but wasn't that the point? As leadership passed form one rider to the next, one queen to the next, change was supposed to come. For better or worse, she was going to take this position, and she would do her best. She dipped her head as H'ton completed his speech, biting her lip to repress a smile, and hold in a cheer of exhuberence. "Thank you, H'ton, and all the rest for your vote of confidence. I will not let you down."
