E’lric laughed even more yes she definitely had the attitude for a queen rider
“Don’t worry there will still be threads when you get your dragon” E’lric reassured they were hardly into the 1st decade of this pass with 4 decades after that to go

B’hamut laughed at Till “That’s you told K’inzar”
K’inzar mad a mocking hit at B’hamut “Oh be quiet, i liked you better when you didn’t talk as much” K’inzar said prodding B’hamut
“East Cliff has a lot to answer for, especially since they are putting meat on his bone’s”
”I wasn’t skin and bones while i was here” B’hamut protested, ok he know he had changed about since going to East Cliff but was it that noticeable.

”If it’s a computation on who was skin and bones on coming to a weyr then G’ree would have beat B’hamut hands down, when we first got him at the weyr he was all skin and bone you could count his ribs” Morga said remembering him being brought in to the weyr after those riders had found that clutch of firelizard’s shame they had found it to late to being it to the weyr for others to impress but if it had not hatched then they would never have found G’ree and he would not have come to the weyr and then who knows what would have happened to him if he had not come to the weyr.
Morga didn’t like to think of that.

G’ree tested the leather Till had gave him. They were good most likely make it up to even the Weyrling masters standards.
“You could never see all my ribs It was never that thin” G’ree said giving the little harness another little tug “And anyway i quickly filled out with a few good meals in me” G’ree said thinking he had really landed on his feet getting brought to the weyr considering where he had come form

”Ok well another seven day’s and they would have been” Morga said wondering not for the first time, where G’ree had come from, as after he had been found the riders had asked around the area to see if someone had missed him, but no one had said anything and when they asked G’ree he said he didn’t know much about where he was in location on Pern.
”Iss it good, iss it good” Till asked wanting to hear she had done good at this little task.
”Of course you did goods sweet heart. You would have heard by now if you hadn’t done well.” Morga said handing Till a biscuit
E’lric chuckled at Till wanting to be a rider and not a gold like most girls would but a green, but with an attitude like that she may just get a queen, if there was one in 6 turns time

G’ree was in silent agreement working for that farmer was not as bad as life with his father but that turn had been bleak for the small farm holder and to feed the beast they had had to cut the human food, till the beast could be sold.

B’hamut just nodded knowing to argue with Morga was to take ones life in ones own hands.
He only know bits about G’ree from stuff he had heard others say and B’hamut know not to listen to what others say about people especially in this weyr, but he know the reason G’ree was here and he had see it first had when he had flown in the same wing as G’ree’s and done the mop up and a few Holders had been very in owe of them and G’ree had not wanted anything to do with them and the Holders had not took the hint, luckly T’zack had been there and had diffused the situation before G’ree lost it. Thing was G’ree was a good block in the weyr but get him near the Holders and he you say a big change.
G’ree had been one of the riders T’zack had got to help teach B’hamut how to wrestle and fight something B’hamut know G’ree was really good at.
“Don’t worry Till you’ll get your own dragon soon enough and just think of how much better you will be at making the riding straps than the rest of the weyrlings?” B’hamut said adding his aid to this situation as Till could go on. B’hamut had a sudden reminder of Zi

”I practice and practice” Till said as she sat down to munch her biscuit she would do well and get her dragon and show all the weyrlings up by having her dragon have the best straps in the weyr.
”Well that’s the only way you get things right” Morga said clearing some things away
”Exactly” E’lric said knowing that the riding straps where only a small part of being a dragon rider, but when you’re 600ft up in the air a well made set of straps was the difference between you staying on your dragons neck and falling 600ft to your death

“Oh a feast we are lucky” G’ree said knowing it was an occasion to be happy about. But still G’ree felt a bit odd about it F’hursna he had know his whole life in the weyr, but he know R’reek he was not a stranger to him, but maybe it was just with it being the day of the flight that after a few days the information would sink in and find its place.
G’ree turned to K’inzar “I thought the reason you are a lousy healer because you didn’t like your parents practising on you” G’ree said looking at the blue rider

just then Mama Cass came swooping in followed by blue firelizard.
Mama Cass quickly followed Morga into the kitchens to tell her of where she had been
”Ah Lightning my little blue pest” E’lric said getting the Blue firelizard to come to him to get the note
Till watched as the Firelizards came in and watched E’lric get the blue to come to him “Iss that your firelizard?”
E’lric laughed Lightning should have been his but he had lost the egg to Talia in a bet, but E’lric didn’t mind thought if he had one of his own it would make things easier for talking to Talia.
“No he’s not, he’s weyrwomen Talia’s of East Cliff” E’lric said as he read the note
First off who won the flight you dead glow, you could have told use that in your first message, we’re all waiting here in baited breath.

H’ton is a way with his wing doing drills with Fort Weyr (don’t ask why) and should be gone a few hours, so if your coming come
Lightning leaned forward as Till talked about him knowing the question was going his way.

Lightning hopped on to Tills shoulder looking at the little girl giving chirps
Till Laughed “he’ss funny” she said petting him
E’lric grinned “I know…right its all clear H’tons on the other side of Pern so i have a few hours to see my sister” E’lric said getting up “So with you leave F’hursan” E’lric said giving the old Weyrleader a bow in respect to his rank “I will bid you good day and see if your riders still whish to come to East Cliff” E’lric said to G’ree and K’inzar. B’hamut he know could return when ever he whished to East Cliff.
Till looked up when she heard the rider was going “I come to, Please” She said turning to F’hursna

”Yeah but K’inzar you have a talent for mischief ” B’hamut said laughing at how the blue rider made fun of how he didn’t have a talent. Which was crack dust as T’zack had said to him many a time.
K’inzar made a mocking swing at B’hamut “I can say one thing you’ve got sharding lippy at East Cliff”
B’hamut dodged the swing from K’inzar “Only when i know i can get away with it”
”Oh really” F’hursan said looking at the young man.

“I don’t know you have to go ask your mother” G’ree said to the girl thinking it was up to her parents not him.

Till let out a cheer and ran to the door then stopped “Promisse to wait till i get back… no going with out me” she said looking stearn at the riders
E’lric could not help but laugh at the little girl “We promise on my dragons hide we wont let him leave until you come back and say if your allowed to come” E’lric said knowing how important promises to children were
Till nodded her head and then shot out the door

G’ree waited till Till was out of sight and ear shot “Do you think Weyrwomen Talia will mind me brining Till along?” He asked Till like most kids would rider Dragon back any time she could which was not a bad thing if she wanted to be a rider one day, as most liked the idea of being a rider but few liked the part where they had to go between.

E’lric gathered his riding gear to make ready to go to East Cliff
Elday walked into the dinner hall hearing K’inzar cackle like a hen.
“and what is so funny?” She asked getting her self some klah and sitting down near to where E’lric was looking at him he was new, most likely a bronze rider here for the flight.
“So who are you?” She asked E’lric looking at the man
”E’lric bronze rider of Godarth from Sunset Beach” E’lric said seeing the women come in
”Really… I’m Elday Green rider of Vieth nice to meet you” Elday said batting her eye’s

”yeah but it is hard when it is someone so higher up in command” B’haumt said knowing that he still had some trouble with working out when the man in charge was joking with him or not.
B’hamut wanted to sink under the table when he heard and saw Elday...he was really not interested in this women and he wished she leave him alone.
B’hamut was relived to see she was going after E’lric and not himself this time
K’inzar grinned and looked round at Elday “Life, the world we live in” he said grinning.
Seeing Elday go after E’lric “Down girl...he isn’t staying, he going back to the sun in the west”
