B’hamut laughed he know K’inzar liked nothing better than to wind Morga up him self and that when him and G’ree and K’inzar together they could be as bad as two werry’s. Not that Morga couldn’t deal out a few blows on the two riders, they were braver than he was to tangle with the head women. He still remember the nose that iron pan had made when she hit one of the candidates after they had caused trouble in the kitchen. The Kid had not got up to quick after that.

K’inzar laughed again, he was a very easy going rider who took a lot of effort to keep his dragon working well and took all the comments that holders and other riders of the other coloured riders throw his. He proved them wrong in the long run his Arkth could last the same length of a thread fall as any brown.

“What you doing back anyway, i thought you got posted in the south?” G’ree asked the blue rider knowing that he was never gone long and always back.
In truth G'ree thought he would miss the blue rider if he wasnt around, he made life just that little less dull.
But G’ree whished he could flit away from here, the cold was murder on his hands, he rubbed his little his right hand where his finger was missing.

”I was, set enough rumours around about this place and came back” K’inzar said grinning as that was his job given to him by F’hursna when he came to Top Point.
F’hursna noticed G’ree rub his hand that was missing the little finger.
Over the years of knowing the boy F’hursna know that to be a sine that G’ree’s mind was wondering away somewhere.
Palin had once had a look at the boys hand once, when he had been littler, after a fall and dressed it and as she had done she noticed the scaring and said it looked like someone had hacked the finger off with a blade of some kind. It had been tended to and the remains of the bone removed for a clean heal. Done by a healer she had always hoped, but when she tried to talk to G’ree about it he had gone very silent and reserved and had hid away from them.
A bit like B’hamut did sometimes, well if they had changed G’ree they could get a change in B’hamut, we’ll East Cliff had changed him…
“Oh Dam it…” F’hursna said remembering where
Rio was and that someone needed to alert her that she could come back.

Morga turned looking at F’hursna “What, what’s wrong?” she asked looking at him wondering what had happened now to upset things. She tapped G’ree’s hand to stop him rubbing his hand like that, he would make the skin flack and itch

”I forgot to tell someone to give Rio a call when it was alright for her to return after the flight” F’hursna said. he had left to soon himself to give anyone any instructions on what to do
B’hamut had forgotten about Rio also, she was not his most greatest admirer and that made B’hamut feel just that bit resentful to her because she was here and when she was here he felt like he could not return in case it caused to much trouble like when they had first come to the weyr
”I’ll go get her if you like?” K’inzar offered it gave him an excuse to be out and about

“Ouch,” G’ree said when Morga tapped his hand, though it didn’t really hurt, he just said it to make Morga feel that she still had the touch of knocking the block off any miscreant child.
“I’ll go as well in needed some flight practice in and my hands healed enough only to needed the light dressing so with that on and some gloves I’ll he ok to go between to East Cliff” offered wanting the chance to get out of the weyr for eve a brief moment to another weyr. It would be better than dealing with the mop up crew after a fall.

”Hold on a moment has someone a fire lizard i can lend to send a message?” E’lric asked having an idea.
Morga looked at E’lric “I dragon rider not having his own firelizard it this day and age. Now i know i’m getting close to hearing everything” Morga said but her little green Mama Cass came landing on her shoulder.
Morga petted her
E’lric pulled out small not pad and scribbled a quick note “Here give it to her ands see…she does know East Cliff?” E’lric thought to ask he has just asked for a firelizard not that if it could go where he needed it to go.
Morga took the note “Yes she knows how to get to east cliff”
Morga attached it to Mama Cass’s leg and instruckted her where to go.
The little green took off heading out of the hall

G’ree looked at E’lric “So what was that for, why have you sent a Fire lizard to East Cliff when it was just as easy for me and K’inzar to go?” G’ree asked feeling cheated out of a chance to get out of the weyr for a little bit

E’lric could see and here that G’ree was not happy with him “Because i want to see if my sister Weyr Mate is at the weyr or if he is off hunting his bronze. If he is he will be away a good few hours and i can go with use to get Rio and see my sister at the same time” E’lric explained to G’ree

”I see kill two Wherry’s with one stone” K’inzar said realising what E’lric was planning he was not going to go for them just go with them to get Rio.
”What will you do if H’ton is there?” B’hamut asked knowing he should go back to East Cliff as well, even though with the flight he was excused for the rest of the day, but still there was things for him to do.
”I think that is a obvious, he wont go because he can’t” F’hursna said knowing well the reason E’lric could not go to East Cliff

E’lric nodded “We’ll each action has a price to pay and i am paying it” E’lric said taking a drink from his cup
”Yeah but isn’t it a bit harsh not being allowed to see your sister?” Morga said thinking it every crewel to not allowed siblings to see each other
”Oh i see her, H’ton slipped up on one thing and that was he said i am not allowed to enter the weyr while he is there, also where he said the weyr, he said nothing about the weyr territory it protects” E’lric said patting himself on the back for his bit of clever thinking.
”Oh…now that is being sneaky” Morga said realising the loop holes E’lric used to see his sister.

”Yes but if you slip up just once you could find yourself joining use here at Top Point for a long while” F’husna pointed this out to E’lric knowing that he know this already, but it didn’t hurt to remind him. Top Point didn’t really need more riders in the weyr. It was always a dream to be able to clear the weyr out and just run it with resident riders only. Closing the weyr in this pass was not an option this time, not with the death and mind of this generation of riders.

”Aye i know that’s why i check with Talia how long H’ton will be gone for.” E’lric said understanding F’husna words of caution to him.
”What if he times it and comes back early” Morga asked thinking that if H’ton ever suspected something he may just try it and catch E’lric in the weyr.
”H’ton’s got only one thing i admire him for, He wont time it, there would have to be some dire needed for him to time it” E’lric said he know the risks he was taking doing this

G’ree nodded happy that someone had explained it to him. Being stuck at Top Point and being grounded through an injury, would make anyone start to suffer from what the sailors called cabin fever.
“So it now all hangs on the hopes that Mama Cass goes to the right place” G’ree said with a laugh, it was not unknown for a green to go a wondering.

”Yes well if you didn’t have Whip watching the kids we could have sent him and Mama Cass is a good firelizard, not gone off from me in a mating flight, like some greens do a lovely little lady” Morga said to G’ree knowing Greens were not the most loyal of the colours.
A small little girl stuck her head round the door, her hair long blond hair was in two brads in her hair, she could only be 6 maybe at the most. She grinned a toothy smile showing she was missing her two top front teeth
Morga looked round seeing the little girl “What’s wrong Till?” Morga asked in a soft voice
”I want to ssshow G’ree my firelizards straps. I finissshed firsst” her “S” stretched with not front teeth
”Oh right well he’s just there, G’ree Till is first finished” Morga said Till was always doing things and wanting G’rees approval on things, but he was good with the youngsters

G’ree looked round hearing the little voice of Till, she was a sweet little girl who seamed to follow him around the weyr.
In truth G’ree liked teaching the children, showing them how to make things, even some of their numbers and letters, but the weyr had a Harper now to teach them that and G’ree had little to do with the children except keeping them busy during the mating flight.
“Give me a look” Till” G’ree said putting out his hand to take the little set of straps from the girl

Till went over handing G’ree her little set of straps for her firelizard “Ssee i finssh firsst the otherss are talking about the flight wanting to know if there will be a queen egg” Till said then covering her mouth with her hands she had been told by her foster mother not to mention queen dragons near F’hursna.
She looked at the old man “Can i sstand ass a candidate pleasesess… I’ll be good, promisse. I look after my firelizzard really well. I could look after a dragon no problem?” Till asked she wanted to be a dragon rider really badly.
E’lric laughed at the little girl asking to be a candidate “Use have them young he wanting to be candidates” he said but he liked the little girls eagernesss
”ill has wanted to be a rider since she first learnt the word dragon. Was her first word” Morga said laughing she had heard this before off Till
Till looked at E’lric “What’ss your dragon called, i bet he’ss a bronzze” Till said to E’lric
”His names Godarth and yes he’s a bronze, how did you guess?” E’lric asked figuring he know how she know but asked any way
”Becausse your new and there had been a flight sso ass a bronzze rider your allowed to be here” Till said in a mater of fact tone
E’lric laughed “I could have been naughty at my other weyr and been sent here”
”You don’t look like you’ve been naughty and we would have heard if a new rider was coming. We children hear every thing” Till said holding her head up high

K’inzar laughed at hearing Tills tone and the way she spoke to E’lric “That’s you told” he said grinning “we definitely have a Queen rider in the making here” he said nodding to Till
F’hursna heard the little protest from Till he had heard this for the last turn, her wanting to be a candidate. But she was still too young to even think of putting her on the sands as a candidate. She would only be 10 turn’s by the time her dragon matured and that was too young.
“no Till you are not standing as a candidate 6 more turns then it will be your turn on the sands”
