L’card watched his dragon flop down to finish his sleep. He to the chance to look round at the others dragons as they settled down next to the large brown, why did his dragon have to be different, why couldn’t it just be a normal dragon, even those Snows were more normal than his dragon

G’ree watched the weyrlings for a moment longer and then thought it best to get the lesson started before the water froze over
“OK if you settle down we can get started” G’ree gave them a moment to get sorted and settled.
“Morning i am Weyrling Master G’ree. I know you may all have been hoping to have time to rest up and get to know you’re Dragons a bit better but things in Top Point don’t stand still for anyone and it is the rule that even you weyrling make a start early so that you can best learn the does and don’ts of the weyr so that when you dragon and you are old enough you may have a chance to leave and go to another weyr and not spent you considerable future stuck here.” G’ree let that sink in before going on
“So fist lesson lets get started on how you take care of them, but before I start i have some ground rules.
First off any of you with Fire Lizards send them away now and do not bring them with you to the lessons again. I don’t want them interrupting the lesson and i did say for them to be sent away before you came, I’ll give you a moment to send them away for those of you who for got or were not listening and please do not bring them again, you may call them back at the end but not until then.
Second! You are on my time and i will not let any of you, walk the table and become full riders till i deem you fit to do so Top Point has high standards of strict discipline and till you learn how to discipline your self you will not leave this weyr or move on from being weyrling so even if it means making you all repeat and re-repeat the lessons till you understand this. Understood!” G’ree said as he walked along the line of Weyrling’s.
“If you mess around, in the lesson, i will not hesitate to send you back to the barracks. Where you will be confined till you decide you want to learn.
Third I expect to all to turn up on time. Any questions” G’ree asked not sure if they would really ask any questions or if he know how to reply to any if they were asked
Rio listened G’ree seamed a little unsure about any questions that might be asked but he looked like he would take not lip from the weyrlings.
He didn’t seam as strict as K’ttak but he looked like he know what he was meant to be teaching the weyrlings
M’ess checked his dragon was alright the older brown did not seam to mind the little ones being next to him.
M’ess looked round when G’ree called for their attention. He found a place to sit even thought the ground was a bit cold, he would remember to bring a fur to sit on next time.

D’von pulled up a seat next to M’ess and listened to the weyrling master go on.
D’von didn’t know if he could be that disciplined, it sounded like they were joining an arm not a weyr. He wondered how much discipline they needed to be able to leave the weyr, they were stuck here for two turns at least ether way they looked at it, bit then how long after that, would it be another two or longer, D’von didn’t know how long he could take the cold.
It wasn’t too bad at the moment it was pushing into summer so the place should warm up somewhat, but D’von did not know if he could take a winter here yet

G’ree picked up a bag “Right First lesson’s for the day is simple and only has 3 parts, Bathing, feeding, and oiling. All important things you will need to do
over the next few 7 day’s you will be doing quite a lot of, as your dragon will do much grow and require food and then meaning they grow out of their old hide and growing into a new
First of bathing is pretty much self-explanatory. It cleans off the dead and peeling hide and good bath will help remove the old skin. It is also a good way to re-enforce the bond with your dragon. They tend to like getting a good sand scrub.” G’ree said turning to his own dragon he gave a well timed hum at the mention of a sand scrub.
“After bathing, you will move on to oiling. Oiling keeps your dragon's hide supple and smooth and keeps your dragon's skin from cracking. If your dragon has a cracked hide and goes between, you will lose your dragon, and by extension...your own life." G’ree said paused just long enough for this to let his words sink in. They'd not forget to oil their dragonets....
“Finally, your dragons will require you to provide them meat until they begin to fly and hunt for them selves which sadly that is several months away. So if any of you are squeamish, i advise to get over it. Being a Rider is not a clean and happy job. You are serving the weyr and the planet and there are worst sights than butchering beasts.
Right there’s bags of sand over there start washing your dragons”

D’von listened carefully as to what G’ree told them, it was quite a lot of common sense stuff really and the same as you would do with a fire lizard they needed oiling and well they bathed them selves but so would their dragons when they were bigger and only need a good sand scrub to clear the dead skin. Shards that was going to be a big job in a few months time mind Mast would not grow as big as G’ree’s brown or the bronzes or even the gold…he wondered what size the Snows…was that what they were calling them…grow to and how much the would need cleaning

M’ess got up grabbing some cleaning sand and some oil before walking over to his own dragon “Come on bath time Zarunath” he said petting the dragonet to wake him up
[glow=red,1,200] Zarunath yawned <<But i sleep, bath later>>[/glow]
“Sorry my little Brown friend but not your option” M’ess said picking the dragon up. M’ess seamed to feel his dragon had gained weight even off one meal. Give it another few days and he would not be able to do this even how strong he was.
Rio had to laugh at the weyrling as he heaved his dragon to the water
M’ess looked round hearing a laugh this was the first time he had seen Rio sitting there “Oh hello” he said feeling a bit silly the know on her jacket said she was the jr queen riser next to the one who had just hatched yesterday
”Hello” Rio said seeing the young man looked suppressed to see her “Take it he does not want a bath, Aerith was like that but the moment she got in the water she loved it” Rio said hoping to reassure him.

L’card listened carefully to what G’ree told them, he had to think now that if he had know how much work a dragon would be ne would not have been so keen to be a rider and nether would a good few other people for that matter. Being a dragon rider sounded like a grand job till you realised how much looking after a dragon took.
L’card looked at Arkairyth as he slept, he would like to leave him that way.
He wondered if Arkairyth’s temper would fade with time, but some how he didn’t think it.
L’card watched M’ess and D’von they had offered to help with bathing Arkairyth in return for helping oil their dragons.
He supposed he could help by getting Arkairyth into the water.
L’card walked up to Arkairyth “Come on wake up bath time” he said nudging the bronze
Arkairyth responded with a growl <<Go a way, i sleep, i bath later>>
“Sorry but you don’t get a chose” L’card said ignoring what the healer had said about not lifting things L’card grabbed Arkairyth and dragged him to the dug out heated poor and rolled him in nearly following the bronze in to
Arkairyth growled and splashed about in the water

”I hope so” M’ess said getting Zarunath into the water
[glow=red,1,200] Zarunath let out a cry as he went in the water and then started paddling about happily[/glow]
M’ess watched his dragon and then turned seeing L’card roll his bronze dragonet into the water “Wow…you should have said i would have gave you a hand” M’ess said knowing L’card could risk opening those scratches on his chest.
He looked at Arkairyth for a moment “We’ll let them get use then, you tell him that i will sand scrub him of then you just have to oil him” M’ess said thinking this may not be as easy as they thought

“Its ok i think i need to show him that i am not scared of him” L’card said watching the bronze.
“Stop being a dead glow Arkairyth you can stand up in the water” L’card said watching his dragon frash about.
Arkairyth stopped looking at L’card, he stood up. He let out a growl splashing water at the nearest dragonet, before sinking back down into the water

D’von woke Mast who was very eager to go into the water when he saw all the other dragons in.
Mast rushed to the water and went nose first into the water splashing merrily about flapping his wings to make waves and then diving under
D’von walked over to where M’ess and L’card was seeing L’card roll his bronze into the water and the thing flap about like a fish out of water.
He looked at L’card “You two had a lovers tiff?” he asked pointing to the L’cards bronze.

“Something like that, he did not want woken up or a bath...what am i going to do when he is bigger and i can not lift him or move him into the water?” L’card asked realising that he was talking to people who he didnt think that they wanted anything out of him of from him and he didn’t want anything from them

D’von thought for a moment, yes him and L’card had not hit it off well but no matter the lads back ground he was a dragon rider now and he was a bit puzzled and worried about his dragon. Out off all of the dragons D’von would not be surprised if L’cards bronze attempted to take a chunk out of someone.
“Em...water bombs” D’von though just off the top of his had, he know it was stupid the moment it had left his mouth

L’card looked at D’von he could see Devon was joking “I don’t think there would be one big enough to wet him” L’card said watching his dragon splash about in the water Arkairyth did not look happy to be in the water

“Don’t worry, he will get use to it and you have took a step in the right direction, by letting him know who’s boss” M’ess said watching his own dragon.
“Tell Arkairyth, i am going to give him a sand scrub so he can be out fist and quickest” M’ess said to L’card as he rolled his sleeves up to get ready to get a bit wet
Rio watched as L’card rolled his dragon into the water she thought it a bit harsh to teat a dragonet like that
G’ree walked over to Rio “How are you doing?” he asked
Rio looked up at G’ree “ok but the weyrlings seam a bit ruff with their dragons“
”It’s a ruff clutch… and L’card needs to stand up to his dragon, K’inzar got his dragon to bespeak me and told me of him trying to have another go at L’card. Arkairyth is going to be a hard dragon to handle, if L’card lets him push him around when he is small then he is going to be worse when he is older and L’card will stand no chance” G’ree pointed out hoping Rio understood
Rio nodded “I suppose you know best and this is a very ruff clutch”

L’card looked at his dragon in the water
After the initial shock of the water had warn off Arkairyth swam in the water a bit and growled when one of the others got to close to him
<<”Arkairyth M’ess Zarunath rider is going to come clean you”>> L’card sent to the bronze
Arkairyth turned to look at his rider <<NO…i want you to clean me>> the bronze ordered of his rider
<<”Well i can’t, if you wanted me to bath you, you should not have clawed me yesterday…i cant get wet, i will oil you after M’ess sand scrubs you. Now let him do it and don’t attack him”>> L’card ordered his Bronze
Arkairyth looked angrily at L’card then at M’ess

“He says yeah, i think he will be good for you, but you should be quick as he is not to happy about it not being me” L’card said going and getting some oils to start oiling the dragons when they cam out of the water.

“Don’t worry i will be quick” M’ess said grabbing the cleaning sand and putting some on his hand and the going slowly over to the bronze.
M’ess was being very careful here as one wrong move and Arkairyth could hurt him
G’ree had been walking round checking weyrlings work. The water was starting to cool G’ree wanted all the weyrlings done and dry before things got to cold.
He saw M’ess going slowly over to Arkairyth, he wondered what was going on and headed over.
“What are you doing”
”Oh sir” M’ess said turning to G’ree “L’card can not get wet with him having his chest strapped up so me and D’von have offered to help clean Arkairyth till L’card is fit enough to do it himself.”
”Is this true” G’ree asked L’card

”Yep” D’von said nodding his head to agree with M’ess.
He looked at water looking for Mastopeth, who’s head just came up out of the water and then went back down.
<<” what are you doing?>> D’von asked his dragon
<<I am hiding, i like the water>> came the little voice in D’vons head
<<”Oh right…well you got to come out sometime, but i am going to help M’ess clean Arkairyth and then you are coming out ok?”>> D’von said the response was several bubbles coming up to the surface
