M’ess laughed seeing Mia she looked like she had a very ruff awakening. He was cutting more meat for Zarunath
[glow=red,1,200] Zarunath ate the meat, he snorted at Silvyth as her wings flapped at him and gave them a nudge away from him[/glow]
“Morning” M’ess said to Mia

D’von feed the blue the bits of meat, he stifled a yawn. “Morning” He said to Mia as he tried to stop another yawn. “We didn’t wake you did we?” He asked her
Morga walked out of the kitchen setting bowls of fresh bread and then several empty bowls on another getting ready for the rest of the weyr to get up. But first she would deal with the newest members of the weyr. She looked over seeing the group sitting together, in all her time living in a weyr she had not seen a group of weyrlings wake up so early, normally the weyrling master was having to shake them out of bed. She walked over to the group “When you have finished feeding your beasts you can feed your selves. There is bread over there and cereal and porridge on the stove… but before you help your selves, you wash your hands after handling that raw meat…i see anyone touching that food with out washing their hands first and you will be on the dish wash and cold meals for a seven day…am i understood?” Morga said not shouting but keeping it stern, it was not just G’ree, Kisa and R’reek this lot would have to watch out for. D’von looked at Morga, he was a bit taken back by the elderly women. He know who she was and took her at her word “Yes” he said strait away he had got on Morgas bad side once and he had regretted it”

K’inzar came out of the dinner hall with a bit of bread smothered in cheese. “A Morga...you already laying down the law of the weyr” K’inzar laughed a mouth full of bread
L’card looked round when the women came out telling them that their breakfast was ready. He replied “Yes” to the women as D’von responded first and he thought best to follow his lead. D’von may annoy him but D’von seemed to know the weyr so L’card thought to follow his lead He had to say feeding Arkairyth had take off some of his own hunger. He quickly feed the bronze before he got annoyed at him for being slow and not feeding him fast enough.

Mia looked up from feeding Sylvith and flashed a smile as she was greeted. "Morning M'ess, D'von." She fought back a yawn for fear of Sylvith deciding she wasn't yet awake enough, and going for a dip in the lake. She had no doubt that the pale dragon would indeed force her into the water, and even in the warmest months, the lake was far from tepid.
As Morga spoke up, Mia half-listened. She knew well enough to clean up after handling the meat, she needed only to know where the food would be when she was ready for it. While she listened, she fed her dragon, cutting chunk after chunk and passing it to the ready maw. "So... Anyone nervous?" Mia shot a glance around once Morga was done, her lips curved into a sly grin. she'd been around long enough to have a rough idea of what would happen, but she wanted to see how the rest would react, or what they were thinking would happen.

” i wouldn’t go jumping in that lake, its freezing, you can see the thin layer ice on the top” D’von said through another yawn.
He looked at Mia when she mentioned about being nervous “I don’t even think I’m awake enough to be nervous…though i am a bit worried about going in that lake to bath the dragons” D’von said truthfully he was a bit nervous about the lesson as it was the first real day of being a weyrling
Morga turned on K’inzar “I’ll lay down the law… this is may dinner hall and i have to see to the running and the cleaning of it an the kitchen and i will make sure it stays that way… Now what’s G’ree been doing down there… he hasn’t said more than a good morning today and did you pass on that message about that bath tub” Morga said to the blue rider he had to know her by now that she didn’t have mess in her kitchen

K’inzar could not help but grin and then step back looking sheepish and scared of the women. “Understood headwomen, boss person, wielder of the wooden sthingy, pots and pans and the big rolling pin, em...your adoptive son is busy trying to burn down the weyr and digging big holes in the ground...and emptying Aloth of ash, he said he would be up soon and he got the message about the tub” K’inzar said

Zaira looked up from cutting the meat into bite size pieces, at the voice behind her shoulder. Still holding the knife between her hands she turned around, to face the blue rider. "Why fine, as I am another morning," she replied levelly, "And yourself?" While civil her voice held none of the warmth she had previously shown K'inzar. In her mind her friend had let her down. When she had needed someone to side with her, to talk some sense into the stubborn minds of the other riders last night, he had forsaken her. If he thought they could forget about the previous night and continue as if Yazmyth had never happened, as if they had not insulted her beautiful dragon by relegating her far beneath her obvious rank, well he was clearly delusional.
Zaira turned back to the table, and finished cutting the meat, scooping it up in her hands to feed the growingly impatient Yazmyth. Here you go, see I told you it would not take that long.
My long and yours are clearly two different things, the dragon's maw hungrily buried into the meat Zaira held as she bespoke her rider. Zaira bit back the burst of laughter that burbled in her throat.
Zaira for the main part studiously ignored the other weyrlings, having not been chummy with them the night before, she now could think of very little to say to any of them, although she did wish to speak to Mia at some stage to see what the other young woman thought of their situation. Surely if anyone understood what she felt Mia would, because she too had Impressed a dragon like her own.

K’inzar was not stupid as he some times acted he know the Harper was angry at him, but over what he could not understand he was on her side on this the whites or Snows as G’ree had started calling them, something that has quickly picked up by many of the weyr, hopefully it would stick and both Mia and Zaira could ride with their heads held high as Snow riders or if not they could still hold their heads high ether way. K’inzar had argued with Kisa over the snows being places as dragons what more was Zaira asking of him. He had come voluntarily and by rights still remain at his old weyr where F’hursna middle son’s weyr, but he understood what his father had K’inzar doing, spreading little tail of Top Point. Kisa and R’reek by all rights could order him to stay at his assigned weyr. “Em…I’m alright as long as i stay out of Morgas way… use are in for a fun lesson…just don’t dint the tin bath or Morga will kill G’ree

D’von feed Mast the last bit of meat “There no more or you will burst” D’von sais seent the blue’s stomach bulging off all he had eaten.
“Well now he’s feed I’m going to get myself feed” D’von headed over to find the bowl to wash his hands in, meat juices was hard to get cleaned off skin but D’von felt like he had got as much as he could get cleaned. He then went and helped himself to getting some porridge
Morga sniffed the air “Smells like he is doing a good job of it to” Morga said heading back into the kitchen to make more food for the weyr when the rest of the riders got their selves out of bed and ready

“Morning” M’ess said to Mia as she came to join them feeding their dragons. “I have to say that water looks freezing even from here” M’ess did feeding Zarunath another chunk of meat.
Morga’s announcement about washing hands and stuff made him look round and nod his head to show he understood what she was saying.
He turned quickly back to Mia “Do we have and thing to be nervous?” he asked “What do you think we’ll be doing for the first lesson ?” M’ess was not sure what weyrlings were meant to do in the lesson, though that might be the point of the lesson’s to show them what to do

“I don’t know, i know they were burning something this morning” L’card said feeding Arkairyth who gave a growl when the next pit was slow on coming. L’card was secretly considering the option of putting the dragon in the freezing lake. “What exactly are we meant to do as Weyrling...other than learning to be riders and look after...them?” he pointed to his dragon

D’von shrugged as she put his bowl down on the table and sat to eat while the others finished off. “I don’t know suppose that’s what being a weyrling is about”

Mia shrugged absently, snatching back her hand as Sylvith nipped her lightly to remind her not to slow the meat. "If I had to guess, we'll likely be learning how to bathe them. Easiest if you get the hang now, and they are going to need it. Maybe even a good oiling afterward. Nothing to worry about, or be nervous for though. She smiled at M'ess.
From the corner of her eye she caught sight of the Weyrling to Impress the other White... Or Snow rather. She lifted a hand in a wave to her, before rising, shooting M'ess another quick, almost apologetic smile, before grabbing more meat and moving to sit closer to Zaira. "So, how much you want to wager we'll be the one's sticking out like sore thumbs?"

”what...bathing them in the lake...its sharding freezing, I’m shivering just sitting up here looking at the lake” D’von complained as he ate his breakfast. He got the flask of Klah “Do use want me to pour use a mug of this?” He asked the others

"Thank you for the warning," she nodded her head before turning back to her dragon, clearly dismissing the blue rider. Zaira knew her civilaty would only remain in place for so long, and while K'inzar was not the main source of her anger, he was as good a target as any at the moment. But she also recognised that alineating herself entirely from everyone would get her nowhere,. No, it was much better if she terminated the conversation until she was in a more stable frame of mind.
With Yazmyth sated for the time being, sitting full and contented at the former Harper's feet, Zaira was considering getting herself something to eat from the table prepared by Morga when the other Snow rider's voice broke through her thoughts. A ghost of a smile formed on her face, "To be honest I'm surprised no one has sought us out yet to say we must do the lesson privately.Who knows who might be around to see our dragons when we are out there?" It was a valid point and had been niggling at her since the moment she realised what the Weyrlingmaster had intended for them this day.

”Your welcome… well i hope you have a nice lesson” K’inzar said getting the hint that Zaira didn’t want to talk to him and didn’t want his company ether. He felt some what annoyed; this wasn’t his fault this had happened.
K’inzar walked back over to a table grabbing a mug of Klah, observing the group of weyrlings, catching bits of conversation and the big question of “What were they meant to do as weyrlings” and the conversation of what their first lesson would be about. K’inzar took his mug of Klah and went inside to go finish his breakfast and then go see what he was doing to day.
L’card fed Arkairyth the last bit of meat and the content bronze sat cleaning himself.
L’card realised he was being dominated by the bronze and the bronze know he could push L’card around and L’card did not like it. L’card didn’t let people push him around, so why was he letting a dragon, yes Arkairyth had clawed him but humans could do just as much damage with a knife and things and L’card was not scared of them. But the one thing that came in his mind was that in about two months time Arkairyth would tower over him and how did you tell a big thing like a dragon not to push you around. L’card resolved to start when Arkairyth was small and hope he could get it into the bronzes head that he could not push his rider around.
L’card went and washed his hands, hearing D’von ask who wanted a cup of Klah “I will…please” He said trying to get the juice off the meat of his hands

D’von poured the Klah and walked over to get the sweetener hearing Zaira and he stopped ”Don’t bee a dead glow only the new queen riders get privet lessons, don’t want them learning any bad habits off the lesser colours” D’von said walking back to the table and putting the bowl with the sweetener down, knowing it was bad to listen in on peoples conversations, but when all of what had happened came to light in the conclave a lot of the attention would be on Zaira and Mia as they had got the two most shocking coloured dragons out of the clutch but he and L’card had also got strange coloured dragons, out of this little group sitting only M’ess had a normal looking dragon

”Oh that’s good…but getting washed in a freezing lake is not my idea of fun” M’ess said finishing giving Zarunath the last bits of meat. He watched Mia go over and join Zaira, M’ess felt bad for them this was going to be hard their first lesson and all. He was petting Zarunath as he thought about what he could do to help Mia and even Zaira who he had not meet as she had not talked to them when she had come in to the barrack. But personally it didn’t bother him the dragons colour, but they were going to be a nightmare to keep clean

L’card grabbed his mug of klah off D’von he went and took a seat looking over at the two snows. He heard D’von saying about the queens getting privet lessons. Personally L’card was just going to try and stay out of the matter knowing that there was more to come about this matter

G’ree walked into the dinner hall after emptying Aloth of ash from the firestone. The brown was now curled up near the lake a waiting his rider’s return. G’ree hovered near the entrance watching his first group of weyrling, hoping that things could not get any worse than they had so far. They all looked to have finished feeding their dragon a few just finishing and starting on their own breakfast.
“Can i have your attention please” He called getting the weyrlings attention, he gave them a moment before he went on. “Once you have finished feeding your dragons and your selves, please meet down at the lake near the small pool, you have one hour…please be on time and those with firelizards please don’t bring them with you. send them away to the Reflection Valley, you may call them back at the end of the lesson to help you” G’ree said to the group wondering if he was really up to the challenge. “Any questions?”
