Appearance:
Small and delicate in appearance, this woman is known to be rather tiny. For a woman of twenty-four turns, she is actually small enough to be considered a child. Standing at no more then five feet even, she doesn't appear to be anything more then a child to most people. Her height, is oddly masked, because her legs make her look taller then she really is. Her body structure, oddly like her mothers, who was a Harper, that preferred dancing to music making.
Lunesta is an Albino, I forgot to mention that, so her skin is nearly snow white, and her hair is such a light blond its white. She looks like someone drained all the color from her body, almost. Her eyes are an odd clear blue color, that has often been known to make people nervous around her. Her hair, as I mentioned is light blond, and falls somewhere around the hip area.
She is never seen without as much of her skin covered as possible. Almost alway her eyes are overshadowed, because the sun not only damages her skin, but her eyes as well. Unlike most albinos her eyes aren't weak. She attained this, because she trained her eyes to not be weak. This training was attained through the aid of a healer, that knew special tricks. Training her eyes to be normal in their clarity for sight, took her many years. Her lifes dream was to ride dragon back, a dragon rider couldn't have a weakness like that.
There is scars that line her arms and her neck and chest, the occurrence of these is related to something in Lunesta's past. She never got to ride dragonback, instead she was impressed to a Wher. The egg didn't appear to be a queen egg, but the wher that hatched was indeed a Queen. Lunesta impressed to this queen, and has the marks to prove it. A slash that scarred up her right arm, where Lunesk impressed her.
Personality:
Lunesta is a rather sweet young woman, most know her to be very secretive and quiet, and she is highly respectful of those higher ranking then her. Lunesta herself though, seems to be haunted by a past that she wishes not to speak about. Her manner of acting, is very much like you would expect someone who has been used to being beaten. Which is actually not very surprising considering the girls odd colorations.
Lunesta, is not completely sweet, and not completely respectful though. She has been known to snap and yell at people, she has been known to break down and cry. These moments are far and well between, and when they happen its usually due to her remembering the past of which she won't speak of. Lunesta is all in all, someone that will get her job done, and get it done quickly.
Sweet and kind, but most of the time only with children and pets. She doesn't seem to like being around males a lot, even though she is most distinctly hetero. Lunesta, tries to avoid doing work that leaves her alone with males, and if she has to do work alone with males, she always makes sure that there is an easy escape from the area.
She leads the Wher's with an iron fist, though she is not cruel, she still rules very justly. She does the best she can, to make sure no massacres happen again, AND she seeks to make sure that the Wher's are trained to fight night time threadfall.
History:
Twenty-Four Turns ago a Sea Holders Mistress birthed her daughter. It was well known she was the Sea Lords mistress, as his wife was infertile, and could not produce children. Morri the Mistress of Velkarin, was the one to birth the children for the couple. When Lunesta was born though, he accused Morri of taking another man to her bed. Which part of their agreement, meant that Morri wasn't allowed to do such. As the children she produced had to be his heirs. Had to in the future, help run the cothold.
It was the old aunty that mentioned to him, that his mother had been fair haired. As well as the fact of his mistresses father being fair haired. They where in fact first cousins, and their two genes coming together created a fair haired and pale eyed and skinned child. The two broke off their relationship, but she was still his Heir. The youngest of five children, and the only girl.
Her brothers didn't like her, they still believed their mother had cheated on their father. She was the bartering tool that her father would eventually use to make alliances. Life wasn't easy for her though, because of her albinism she was often harassed and beaten. She got used to taking the blows, and ducking and covering. As she got older, they got worse. Until she started to snap and fight back.
That got her in so much trouble, let me tell you. Not only that, but she was often in the healers rooms because of burns. Her skin pale as it was, was also very sensitive. Though she looked the perfect lady, her being exposed to the sunlight for more then an hour, would end up with third degree burns. She learned to cover herself, because of this.
As the years went on, she matured, she became obsessed with dragons, and wher's. Mostly because she was tired of being treated like crap, even by her father and brothers. Eventually a opportunity arose, a Search rider from East Cliff came to her weyr. She begged them to bring her, keeping herself covered when she did(to hide her abnormal coloring). The dragon said she had a heart for it, and would make a candidate. So she was brought.
When she got to the Weyr, she was pushed away. The old Queen Wherhandler Mirnai took pity on the albino and gave her an egg from the clutch. The old Queen Mirnask liked the young woman, and told her bonded to start training lunesta to be the assitant's replacement for her own assistant. It was around that time they moved into the Labryinth, the tunnels that ran between two weyrs, underground. Browns and Bronzes where used to guard the secret entraces into the weyr.
Lunesta impressed that turn(she was sixteen), Lunesk coming from her shell, a golden wher came out. She slashed Lunesta, and the bond was made. She has for years, been ruling the Wher-handlers, because shortly after Lunesk's hatching and first run... Mirnash passed on. Lunesta is now the WherMistress.

Lunesk is on the more calmer side for a Wher. She isn't overly violent, but she is indefinitely smarter then most whers. She is even capable of forming words, to almost complete sentences. This developement is what makes her bonded Lunesta, believe that Wher's are capable to be trained to fight thread fall at night. Lunesk is very protective over her bonded, if someone harasses Lunesta because of her colorations, Lunesk is known to bite, and bite HARD.
