There are a few changes that need to be made. Character acceptance is getting too lax. I've been an admin of countless forums, and character acceptance is where you need to crack down. Pern is not full of blond haired people, and it's a rarity to even have green/blue eyes. Also anyone over the age of 12 should be WELL over the 4ft height range. (In fact most pernese where of the taller stock then other races) I'm quite disappointed in how this site has gone down hill.
I loved where we all came from, and I really cared about that Weyr. I miss all of my roleplayers from that Weyr, it was one of my first Weyrs, (not the first) and it meant a lot to me. But there are STANDARDS that HAVE to be kept for a Pernese site to work.
I don't mind going a little off canon on colors on occasion, hell I've done whole new colors. But colors from the series, I have never changed their statistics.
WHITES CANNOT HATCH ON THEIR OWN! IT IS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM!
The shell of a whites egg is almost four times to six times thicker then a normal egg shell. Their egg sack is extra thick as well.
Whites are not small because it's a stunted growth defect, but they are small because their color is a throw back to the original dragons.
You can do many amazing things with plots, if you had actually asked for help of me, I could have helped. But you go and ruin one of the colors that is closest to me.
Whites are only capable of hatching with help. They are NEVER EVER the size of a bloody freaking queen!
I'm very upset at what the site pulled, is this the best you can come up with for plot?
I really really liked this site, and had hopes of becoming more active again. Krows has been working on me for WEEKS, to get me to rejoin.
I told Wolf that I gave up my Wherhandler. I am very critical when it comes to the analysis of candidates, and guess what? I don't like ANY of the Wher candidates. The only one scream impossibilities to me.
Not everyone has a tragic past, not everyone can have Aryan features. And on Pern the only people over 12 with a height under 5 foot, is someone with genetic defaults.
If I stayed on as the Gold Handler, I would demand at least a say in who the golden egg goes to, and I would be so hyper-critical of characters that people would come to hate me.
Plain and simple, I am done.
If you can't find a way to appease me, myself and the 4 characters that I actually had planned to bring in, are gone. I'm very upset, and very hurt.
Go in new directions yes, but never forget the past where which these beings come from.
