Morning news

Liamik work to the nose of the hall already up and about.
Shard it he could not believe he had over slept with the nose that could go on in the hall first thing in the morning.
He hoped someone had got the weather report in off the dolphins and asked them about the ship that was over due at the hall it was a day late and no one had heard a thing, but there had been no storm reports so the ship could not have gone down at sea, it was a bit of a mystery and puzzles and Liamik didn’t like these kind of puzzles not when it meant peoples lives on the sea.

Liamik got up and dressed finding his wife had put a tray of food for him to eat. He quickly ate and headed off to see what was about in the hall.
Liamik walked the hall looking for his Journeymen to see what problems there were if any, but the first thing he found was his two daughters stood out side the Harpers class room, they were identical twins but Liamik and his wife always know who was who, as one you just mentioned dragons to her and she would talk your ears off about them the other was dolphin made.
“Do not tell me you two have been put out of his lessons this early… what did you do this time switch seats and then switch back or pretend to be one another”

the girls looked guilty to see their father.
“Em both” the youngest twin said she was the one who was dragon mad.

Liamik growled and opened the Harpers door “Get in and I don’t want to hear of any more fooling about, or I will send one of use in land and the other to Top Point” he growled

”Oh dad its cold at Top Point at least make it east Cliff…” the youngest protested but he father closed the door on her before she finished

Liamik headed out side to the jetty to where he could think still keeping a look out for his journeymen to ask if they had got the morning news.

Groaning, Karlin rolled over in her sleep once, twice... A loud thud resounded through the journeymen's quarters as the restless girl crashed into the ground. "Owww..." Rubbing her head, the journeyman slowly stood up, taking a few seconds to realize that something was off. Ah, that's it. It was too late in the day. She had overslept again. With a sigh she forced herself into short trousers and a sleeveless shirt before shuffling out, looking entirely like she had just gotten up. However, she had hardly taken a few steps when she realized she could hear faint, familiar voices... It took a few minutes for her tired mind to register that one belonged to the Master and the other two must be his daughters. She headed in that general direction, intending to find out what was going on, then get herself a mug of klah.

She reached the trio just as the door was closed on the girls, and, after recognizing the door, she managed to guess that they had tried to skip lessons. But then, it was something she had pulled as a child, so even half-asleep it came to mind. Each generation of children was the same as the last. Skip the boring stuff to find something more interesting to do. Not that one who had been amongst the worst about such things had any room to criticize the current youth, nor did she have much a mind to before a mug of klah.

Deciding that it was best not to be caught looking obviously as if she had just fallen out of bed, Karlin made an attempt to sneak past the Master, hoping that if she could get something in her stomach she might look more alert and hide her late rousing. Even after growing up some habits just don't go away. Sleeping in and dodging those of higher rank were the top ones that stuck, as obvious by her current actions.

Liamik spotted Karlin looking as ruff a walk as he felt, the only thing that was different was Liamik know how to hide it more.

He wondered if someone had slipped something in the wine or Klah last night, tricks were not unknown in the hall especially when everyone was confined in side on a ruff day such as yesterday and they young got board.
Ether that or his wife had dosed it she was one of the halls healers and Liamik was her biggest concern she was at him for taking to much on not getting enough sleep not eating when he should.
Actually his waking up late had the full markings for his wife.

Liamik walked down the corridor to join Karlin who looked like she was trying to make a good escape.
Liamik know he could not tell anyone off fro sleeping in after he himself had slept in.

“Good morning” He said to Karlin in greeting
“you look as ruff as I feel” he commented

The journeyman jumped at the greeting, realizing that her plan had failed. It took a minute to register that there was no hint of a scolding. In fact, the Master's comment made it sound as if he had not been awake long, either. Looks like I'm lucky today. The thought barely managed to find its way into her tired mind before she managed to put together a response. "Good morning..." The greeting trailed off as if she had meant to say more, but forgot or wasn't up to it. Instead, she yawned and thought about it some more. "Sounds like I'm not the only one who could use a mug of klah, then." Of course, the statement was obviously meant as a hint, since it would be rude to brush Liamik off to continue her self-assigned task of finding breakfast, but it would be fine if he volunteered to go with her.

“No you are not the only one… thought I think my wife may have had something to do with mine” Liamik guessed it was not past his wife to put something into his wine or Klah to make his catch up on his sleep and rest.
“Yes I think I needed a second cup of klah is in order before I even think of trying to talk to the dolphins …” Liamik said his head still feeling all fuzzy and in no order to consider what the dolphins would have to say.

Liamik indicated for Karlin to a head o f him “on just getting up you haven’t heard anyone say anything about that ship that seams to have vanished off the face of the planet?” Liamik asked knowing that would be the first thing needed to be seen to.

"You're the first person I've met this morning." Response was given while shaking her head as she started walking again, grateful to be able to get her cup of klah without getting in trouble. It took a minute for the rest of what he said to sink in. Vanished off the face of the planet? She tried to remember if she had heard something like that recently, but nothing came to mind. "A ship vanished?" It was hard to sound surprised when she was barely awake enough to comprehend the words, much less alter her tone.

Upon reaching their destination, Karlin promptly collapsed into a chair, almost forgetting why they were there. Klah, right... Forcing herself to focus despite her state of mind, she located someone and requested two mugs of klah, one for herself and one for the Master, though it didn't seem the drink could get there fast enough. She would think about breakfast when she was wider awake.

Liamik followed Karlin into the dinner hall, while she went and got the klah he went to talk to a few masters.
Their news was not reassuring as they told him the weather report but they had failed to ask any of the dolphin about the ship.

Liamik walked to where Karlin was “what number pod is you dolphin in Karlin?” He asked thinking that they may have to send the dolphins out to have a quick look or fly the flag for a rider to come lend a hand

The journeyman gulped her klah down before trying to answer the question. Finish waking up first, then focus on business. "Ahh... Dem's in pod two." The girl absent-mindedly smiled, thinking of the sea mammal she was lucky enough to be partnered with. Suddenly, she could not wait to get over there and see the dolphin, though she restrained herself, as it would be even more rude to run off now than it would have been before. No, she was definitely stuck now.

In an attempt to calm herself and increase her patience, Karlin thought back to what the Master had said before about a vanishing ship. Now that she could actually think straight, it made even less sense. How did a ship just disappear? No, surely there was an explanation. Maybe it sank? That was all she could think of, since surely if it had simply gone behind something, it would not be such a worrisome subject.

"Did you find out about your vanishing ship?" The girl was curious, now that she had contemplated it, and was hoping she might get to hear something about it since he had already mentioned it once. Obviously there was something she was supposed to know about it that she did not, but she would try to hide that. Had she not been listening to something close enough the previous day? Well, if so, that would be one good reason why she was still a journeyman.

“No and that is starting to get me slightly worried…I can’t believe not one of its crew does not have a firelizard and can’t send use a message to tell use what the delay is.” Leamik was not happy things where normally smooth running around here.
“I think I needed to have a talk with the dolphins…finish your breakfast and meet me on the jetty as I needed to have a talk with Dem”

Cluna made her way round the hall, she had gone to check if Leamik was up yet.
She had given him something to sleep as this ship being missing had him worried sick. With no news it would make any one worry.

She entered the dinner hall spotting Leamik with out any trouble talking to a journeymen

So she wasn't going to find out about the ship unless Dem knew something. Oh, well. Karlin turned from the empty klah cup to the food she had ordered as an afterthought and started eating, wondering at the same time why the Master needed to speak to her dolphin. After all, he was partnered with one, too. Well, maybe Dem would know about it and she would get to hear, too. The journeyman was curious about incident, especially since someone seemed so worried about it.

By the time she settled her thoughts, her food was gone. Karlin got up and headed for the jetty since she had been told to "meet him" there. Well, whatever. It seemed today would be interesting, at least. She could look forward to asking Dem about this vanishing ship and hopefully hearing something to satisfy her curiosity, even though she probably should be worried about it, too, but it was hard to worry when she didn't know anything about it in the first place.

Kit walked into the dinner hall a set of fish on a wire and a scroll case he stopped near Cluna and spotted Leamik up and about.
“uh oh…see he’s up…and he don’t look happy” Kit said handing the fish to one of the kitchen workers.
“well i will go make him a bit happier i have an idea where that ships gone and why none of the dolphins know where it is and why they can’t find it.” Kit headed over to where Leamik and Karlin

“Morning Master Dolphineer morning Journeyman Karlin” Kit said he was only an apprentice so know to respect rank.
“I have an idea”

Leamik looked at Kit when he came up…known him he had been up the moment the sun was up, he was fare to cheery for this morning.
“Unless this idea has anything to do with finding the ship…Kit it will have to wait” Leamik said

“Ah it does” Kit grabbed the scroll case and opened it “I has a sail up to the weyr this morning to get this” he moved a few bowls and cups, it was a map of Pern

“Kit i hate to tell you by we have several maps, one is pinned on my office wall for all to see” Leamik said not happy Kit had gone off sailing on his own and right to the weyr.

Kit could see the Masters annoyance “Don’t worry i had a good escort Jazz, Kippy, Avalon and Flip were with me all the way there and back, but i know you’ve got a map like this but this one is marked with the fresh water and look places where the fresh meets sea water. Dolphins can’t go swim in fresh.
Now what if they tried to take one of the rivers to cut some time off and…”

“And got stuck” Leamik finished he had not thought about this
