”Again you will have to wait for the weyrling master as he will tell you what is going on” K’inzar said looking over at the girls side of the barracks he felt uneasy about the way things had gone on with him and Zaira feeling it might have out a large thread burrow in their friendship
“Excuse me for a moment” he said heading to the girls side. He looked in the door way, see Zaira had chose the bed the most distance away. May be she didn’t want to talk, most likely, but he had to try and sort things out before they got to out of hand, he was on her side on this. He made his way over making sure not to make to much noise in case he woke Zyrii and Judiath. “Em…Zaira are you awake?” He asked in a whisper “Is there anything you would like me to get from your quarters ?” he asked expecting she may just ignore him

G’ree made his way slowly to the weyrling barracks thinking over what he was going to say.
He entered the barracks seeing Seabriel, L’card and M’ess and then on the D’von and Mia with their dragons. He had been sure there had been more and that the new gold was safely here and the other white with the Harper.
“Can i have everyone’s attention please” he called waiting for their attention
M’ess looked at G’ree when he came in… now things fell into place why he had been round the candidate barracks wanting to get to know them before them impressed. M’ess leaned up off the door frame where he had been leaning to show the man had his attention

D’von shoved Mast as he tried to get to his feet. “Stupet dragon” he muttered He looked at G’ree was he the new weyrling master? He wondered. He hoped so he was easer to know what was going on.

L’card had been contemplating going back to his bunk when he saw G’ree come in, he looked at the man. In L’cards opinion he had always thought the weyrling master was meant to be old or for some reason due to injury could not fight thread. None of the applied to the man who stood before them Maybe he was the weyrling masters assistant and had come in to get them in order so the old man did not have to do it.

Mast made to grab at D’von
“Ah… you stupid dead glow…I’ll tie your tail in a knot, you blue hide. Walking disaster” D’von said falling over. why did he have to have the dragon who’s shell was already cracked
Mast jumped onto D’von <<Mine must play>> He added emphases by jumping up and down on D’von, though watching where he put his claws before going right into D’vons face <<Mine does love his Mast…doesn’t he?>>
“If i say yes will you get off me” D’von said
Mast bugled with joy and got off D’von walking over to G’ree sitting down near his feet and looked up stretching his neck high, his tail twitching like a feline flicking back and forth

M’ess walked over giving D’von a hand up, he could not help but laugh at the blue...both the way the blue carried on and jumped on his rider and then how it went to sit looking up at G’ree, like a little attentive child.
“Oh he is going to be a handful” M’ess said trying to get the smile off his face as the look on G’rees said it was something serious he was about to say.
G’ree looked at the boy struggling with his little blue and the dragon jump up and down on his rider. But unlike the bronze it was carful with its claws. The rider seemed to have it under control as he got the dragon to get off him... G’ree dint know what was said but it worked and now he had the little blue sitting at his feet.
He looked down at the blue looking up at him, he raised an eyebrow at the blue, this was one he would need to watch

D’von took the hand you “Says the weyrling who got the only normal dragon in the clutch” D’von said brushing the dust off himself.
Mast’s eyes changed from many colours as he looked up at G’ree
D’von walked over to his dragon <<”Your egg must had been upside down when it was hardening”>> he sent to the blue before looking at G’ree.
“Sorry about that sir…he is…a bit excited and over eager” D’von said thinking he owed some apology for his dragon

K’inzar heard G’ree’s voice he turned looking back at the corridor… “Em… Zaira….don’t take what they are saying to heart…G’ree wont let anything happen to your dragon…and…and i wont ether” K’inzar said feeling like he was making a right idiot out of himself over all of this, trying to get Zaira to forgive him over this.
“I’ll go get your things for you” he said before walking back into the common room.

G’ree looked at K’inzar seeing him standing just next to the girls side of the barracks. He know who he was talking to and from the look on his face he looked like he was not doing to well getting the Harper to talk to him. G’ree didn’t know why Zaira blamed K’inzar he had nothing to do with this…if anything he was on her side. G’ree had heard him arguing with Kisa over the whites getting ranked with blues. Which in the logic G’ree understood what Kisa was trying to do and i could work if people didn’t mess things up.
But still K’inzar looked like he was about to be permanently made to stay at Top Point. K’inzar was many thing irritating, annoying and half the time you wondered if he was even living on this planet but he was a very good man and G’ree would not put it past him to fly through a whole fall on his own to help someone and this Harper was ripping K’inzars good nature apart. He would have words with her when there was a moment.

L’card checked back to see what this dragon was doing, thankfully he had gone to sleep. He waited wanting to know what was happening, personally he was not bothered if they were not allowed to go to the feast, he did not think his family was there and after the hatching and impression he found all he wanted to do was sleep.

D’von picked Mast up, the blue dragon going limp in his arms. <<”That does not help”>>
<<I want to stay out and listen to what is said>> Mast protested
<<”You can’t say there, he’ll trip over you if he moves”>> D’von said not realising just how much wait the little blue had on him for such a small beast. Devon had to put Mast down “Ok stay there, don’t move or i will put you on your couch” D’von said pointing a finger at Mast.

M’ess had to laugh at D’von and his dragon he was talking to it like an misbehaving child, well wasn’t that what they were at the moment mere new born children eager to learn.
G’ree looked at the weyrling feeling this was all the attention he was going to get from them.
“Some of your young dragons may have reacted strangely a few moments ago…some may not…but there has been an incident…it is not easy to tell anyone this but before any of use join your families or the crowed for the feast i must tell you what has happened.” G’ree took a breath
“Most of you had left the sand before this took place…but from the two larger shells next to the gold egg that held Top Points first hatched queen came two…” G’ree did not think to say white as it may up set some standard that he thought the two would pass by dragon lengths, but seeing Mia with Silvyth he took it that they know what had hatched. “Snows…after them came a blue a brown and a…bronze…after the bronze hatched it attacked and killed both the brown and blue… and before it could impress anyone…the two whit…snows sent it between” G’ree said lowering his head.
“I know this is a shock to you all but you had to be told before some tall tail reached use. The dragons have all the dragons yours included have been ordered to silence and your Fire lizards till this matter is cleared up…there will be a conclave held and may mean you will be questioned…” He’s eyes lingered on L’card and D’von as there dragons were the other odd anomalies in the clutch “but that will be dealt with when the time comes… Now i am not Ordering use to stay in the barrack’s as i know some have family and want to celebrate but i will warn you, you may be asked questions you do not know how to answer, just say the weyrleaders are dealing with it and that is it. But those who are not going to be in family groups i advise to stay in the barracks for safety and i will have food and drink sent her for you” G’ree said giving the Weyrlings a bow and then leaving he would have food sent ether way some may go and return early
M’ess watched the weyling Master go. Shards but wasn’t this a mess, worse than the big smith fire going out in the hall.
((i know the big fires the smith use have a proper name i just cant think of it at the moment))

D’von felt ill hearing this news of what had happened when they had left the sand. He walked back to his bead sitting down he felt like someone had kicked him in the stomach…
“That’s awful news that…i thought maybe a candidate had been badly hurt…” He looked over at L’card “Worse that you any how…but this…this is unheard of dragon attacking another. I know firelizards will attack each outer when they cant get enough food…but…but” D’von didn’t know how to go on it was just such a shock.

L’card was shocked to hear what happened on the sands, he had a horrible sick feeling and it also made him worry if that bronze had done that then what if Arkairyth attacked him again or another weyrling. He know the conclave was not going to be a walk in the field, he remembered the ones with his grand father and how had they had gone sometimes and that was just Lord Holders, this was weyrs.
L’card followed D’vons and sat on his own bed, he listened to D’von talk he snorted when D’von mentioned getting hurt worse than him. “I think there will be more trouble to come off this” L’card muttered
K’inzar followed G’ree out, “Well that’s that out of the way, now you just have to get them through the lessons and hope for the best” K’inzar said not really sure if he was reassured by that himself

Mia listened intently, fondly stroking her dragon's head from where they both sat on the ground. She had the feeling that people would soon be looking to her for answers as to why the two strangely colored dragons had been able to send away the Bronze, what with Zaira having stormed into the barracks without a word. But what could she tell them? She herself had some trouble understanding it all, and she was Impressed to one of the two dragons! Silvyth crooned, shoving her head in Mia's lap as if to make the girl rise.
With a snort, Mia got to her feet, brushing herself off and taking a few steps in the direction of the barracks beore pausing, and looking back over her shoulder. Snows? Well... It was a better name, for sure, than a White. She looked to her dragon, who tilted her head and nodded. [colr=ghostwhite]~I like it. A Snow...~

M’ess watched the others go into the barracks….he stood where he was for some time taking in what was said.
He looked at Mia head to the girls side of the barrack. He felt bad for her, Zaira, L’card and D’von they would be under the scrutiny of the other weyrleaders.
He followed her a few steps “Are you alright?” he asked her thinking it was one thing no one may have asked.
G’ree stopped on his heel rubbing his hand with his face “Shards… for once i a turn be normal” he put his hands up in apology.
“Sorry…if you were normal you wouldn’t be you…i just wish i could see the bright side of things like you do…I’m dreading the Conclave” G’ree said

At the call for attention, Zyrii had moved just close enough to easily hear the conversation, wanting both to find out what was going on and to lie back down as soon as possible. Hatchlings had killed each other? The news came as a shock, and the weyrling stumbled backwards a couple steps, as if the words had had mass and physically impacted her. At the end of the explanation, she quietly retired back to her chosen bed, choosing to think about what had happened from a prone position. It certainly explained things. For the dragons to be ordered to silence just over the whites would make no sense, since, unless someone intended to paint their hides a different color, all one would have to do would be to see them and the secret would be out. Dragon deaths at the Hatching, on the other hand, could be covered up for as long as all in attendance could be kept quiet.
The keening was also explained now. She had been too busy feeding Judiath when it occurred to think too deeply about it, but after hearing it, having not thought of it made her feel stupid. Dragons keened whenever one of their kind died. How could she have forgotten, especially when she had been trying to figure everything out? All the thought was nearly as tiring as the walk between the bed and her listening spot, and before she could really get everything sorted out in her mind, the girl was asleep again, this time much more peacefully.
The gold, on the other hand, had her sleep mildly disturbed by Zyrii's troubled thoughts. If the girl had not fallen asleep, the dragon likely would have woken up, but exhaustion won out the instant the mental turmoil ceased and Judiath settled back into her original deep sleep. In the end, the disturbance would remain simply a short, vague, unsettling dream that she would soon forget, as dragons live in the present, not the past.

”Yeah your not kidding” D’von said knowing that L’card and himself and the girl who got the opposite of his Mastopeth. “yeah… i don’t much fancy going up in front of the whole conclave of weyrleaders”

Mia flashed a smile, and shrugged absently as M'ess adressed her, the first to actually ask how she was, after Impressing a dragon of unknown color. "I suppose I could be better." She reached out a hand, and Sylvith shoved her nose willingly into it, manuevering Mia's fingers to the sensitive eye ridge, in a not-so-subtle request. "After all, I know nothing about what the future holds for Sylvith, no clue of what she is going to be, how large... What rank..."
The large hatchling sniffed indignantly, but remained silent at that last comment, instead turning and stalking to the hearth, where she flopped down with no ceremony.

K’inzar shrugged “It’s ok...i always say things at the wrong time, but don’t let it get to you. Look go in train them like they are weyrlings soon to be dragon riders and...and...stuff the conclave between. Look if you can prove those two...snows you called them?... can be fighting dragons then all the better...we will get thought this...now come on you look like you could use a mug of beer and you better go see Morga before all the guest clear the food set for the feast” K’inzar said not really hurt by his friends sharp words as he had been called worse
