D’von looked at L’card when he accused him of being nosy and would have said something back if M’ess hadn’t stepped in. “Yeah alright don’t flame me… i know L’card didn’t let his dragon claw him just to get out of some silly chores and its not like your going to get off scot free as they will have other things for you to do L’card” D’von said thinking M’ess may be heading for the unofficial rank of head weyrling if the weyr had that anyway. “And i wasn’t listening in i heard it in passing two riders were talking while i was clearing the tables off a meal and the mentioned about changing the weyrling master and that’s all i heard as i finished my chores and left” D’von said wanting to make it clear he was not nosy. Well alright D’von would admit he was nosy to a level but he didn’t go blabbing about things he know.

L’card looked at M’ess jumping in to stop a fight between himself and the witless D’von. L’card know people could say things and mean a whole another thing in its place. “Fine” was all L’card would say on that

As soon as the heated voice had begun Seabriel had started rolling up the sleves of her shirt. She was used to breaking up fights among her older brothers, all eight of them, and from stopping the apprentices from doing the same. But, thankfully, M'ess stopped them before they could really get started.
She did, how ever, give both boys a stern look, one she reservered for wayward Apprentices."Now, calm down you lot. he didn't mean anything by it, and if he did, well you two best just forgive each other. We're going to be fighting Thread together and if there's a grudge it might put someone at risk." She pulled herself up to her full height, which was still shorter than the boys, and glowered at them. Back at the Hall most of the younger, and some of the older, boys had been frightened of her gaze. People said the shift from light sea green to a dark emerald that her eyes seemed to do when she was upset was unnerving.

L’card just grunted, he didn’t care, but at the moment he couldn’t do much in the way of put up and fight and from the way Seabriel looked at him, L’card decided better than to start any thing with the girl.
“My grandfather thinks this pass is not going to last as long at the others and that we may not even be needed in the fighting wing” L’card said speaking out about one of the conversations he had had with his grandfather over the turns.

M’ess sighed this was worse than the apprentice dorms, they had only been in the barracks moments and two were already at each other.
M’ess raised a eye brow at Seabriel when se rolled up her sleeves ready to get into the argument. He couldn’t help but smile at the girl, he would bet any amount of marks that the girl had brothers.
M’ess decided to turn the conversation in a new direction. “Did every one have family in the stands?” He asked thinking that a better subject, they should just let tomorrow be dealt with when it became today
Then there was a noise the unmistakable sounds dragons made when one of their own died “Shard what could have happened?” M’ess wondered
[glow=red,1,200] Zarunath let out his own little cy and then tried to burry himself in to M’ess leg[/glow]
M’ess bent to comfort his dragon
<”What’s happened”> he asked the brown
[glow=red,1,200] <Sad, sad gone…cant talk about it queen say>[/glow]
M’ess looked at the other “Use stay here I’ll go see what’s happening” Mess said heading out [glow=red ,1,200] Zarunath grabbed M’ess robe <No mine must stay her ordered from Aloth’s mine> the brown said to his rider holding on tight [/glow]
M’ess stopped looking at his dragon “Did your dragons just tell you we had to stay here?” he asked

It seemed like hours, but in fact was only moments, before Mia and Silvyth found an out and headed for the barracks. Undoubtably there were going to be questions waiting for them, but the whitepair wanted little more than some air, and space from the crowds milling about the odd hatchling. Mia was the one who really needed the escape, for it seemed her new-found friend didn't mind the attention, and basked in it.
"Come on would you? I don't want anyone to see us." Mia tried to tug Silvyth after her, hoping to sneak into the female barracks unseen and unheard. Oh no you don't! There are others right over there! I know they are, we need only poke our noses in and say hello.[/i] The pale dragon skidded to a halt and ducked around Mia's grabbing arms with a rumble of amusement, the tip of her tail swinging around to tap Mia's nose playfully. Hello in there! I'm on my-[/color] "No you are not!" Mia growled at the white and lunged, tackling the large hatchling as they rolled to the floor in a tangled heap.
It was a good thing the commons was so large, or surely the pair would have destroyed something. However, they did manage to make more noise than Mia would have hoped, Silvyth trilling merrily as she wrestled Mia, and finally pinned her, taking great care not to leave a sratch. Oh, that was fun!!!!! We shal lhave to do it again and again! I'll bet I beat you every time, I do![/color]
Silvyth perched over Mia, her paws splayed on the girl's wrists, and her tail curled around Hers' legs. I don't think we'll be getting away without at least saying hello. Only the dead would have missed all that commotion. Silly Mia! It is mia? Yes, of course it is.[/color] Silvyth seemed to go off on her own little tanget for a moment, her voice trailing off though she was obviously still chattering to herself.

D’von heard the clatter of someone out side in the common area. He got up to go see what was happening.
Mast ran out a head of D’von to great the white “Hello…can I play” the blue mix asked looking at the white on her rider
D’von could not help but laugh at the way the dragon had her rider pinned but what struck him as even more odd was that the dragon was white.
D’von blinked a moment trying not to stair at the white dragon. “Oh…um are you alright?..” D’von finally got round to asking the girl

Satisfied they now had company, Silvyth unwound her tail from Mia's legs and stepped off her wrists, smugly rumbling as she looked at the Blue. Hello! You have a lovely hide, you do! You must have been off the sands when I finally hatched. she frowned, her head drooping as though disheartened by this fact. But no matter! We are here now, and we see eachother! I am Silvyth, I am, and who might you be? Obviously you are a Blue, a very pretty Blue, did you know they wnt to rank me and my sister as a Blue? Why, we sent a Bronze on his way Between with but a word! she was off again, grumbling to herself, until a sharp jab from Mia caught her attention. Oh, right. Silly me, of course you can play!
Mia nodded as she sat up, rubbing her wrists, though they were perfectly fine. It was more to make sure, too often she saw you dragons injure their clumsy riders because neither knew what they were doing, yet Silvyth had seemed fully capable, and in control of herself. "Yeah, I'm fine. Name's Mia, she's Silvyth."

L’card rolled over hearing the nose out side in the common area, he got up finding it not as uncomfortable to walk as he first thought it would be.
He headed to the door way and then stopped looking shocked “Is that…is that a white dragon?...shards it is as big as a gold” L’card exclaimed still not sure he was seeing what he was seeing

”I am Mastopeth sister like me but green, you lovely colour to” the little blue gently pawed at Silvyth white hide to see if it was real. “ yes we hear other dragons get up set brown get up set tell his mine not to go… you bigger than me…you not blue, you not even like green sister you big, big dragon” The blue said his tail flicking about as the white said he could play he rushed at Mia sticking his nose right in her face.
“Your mine has nice face” he said as he rubbed his cheek against Mia’s his tail flicking about happily.
“Er…nice to meet you Mast… get out of her face…I’m so sorry…” D’von said going and getting his dragon. Lifting him up and away from Mia, the little blue struggling all the while. D’von put him down, “behave your self Mast” D’von scolded “So what’s happened on the sand our dragons just let out a cry, has something happened?” D’von asked wondering if the girl know

D’von turned looking at L’card as he just kept saying that it was a white dragon, yeah they could all see that. “I’m D’von by the way” He said not sure if he had introduced himself to the girl yet

M’ess could get no more out of Zarunath the brown was upset and just kept telling M’ess to stay. M’ess assured the little brown he would not leave the barracks.
M’ess got up heading to see what was causing the fuss at the door and saw D’von trying to get his patch work blue off a girl… M’ess had to do a double take at the second dragon who was there. “By the first shell it’s a white dragon and nearly as big as any gold hatchling” M’ess said watching the white closely.

Zaira marched past the group of mingling Candidates without so much as a look or a word to any of them. She was in no mood for pleasantries, or idle conversation. Yazmyth followed on her heels, and only gave a quick look at the other dragons before entering the female sections of the barracks right behind Zaira. The white dragon might have liked to have stayed around and talked to her brothers and sisters, but at the moment she was so tired all she wanted to do was curl up somewhere and fall asleep.
Zaira looked around the female quarters and chose a bed furtherest from the door, wondering what would happen with her belongings in the Harper quarters. Would someone bring them to her, or would she be expected to retrieve them herself? However she filed the thought away as trivial for the time being when she took a look at her dragon, the smaller white almost drooping with exhaustion, her eyes only half open.
"Oh I am so sorry, I should have had my say to those wherry-headed fools after making sure you were comfortable and asleep." Zaira's voice lost its previous sharpness, chiding herself for her selfishness.
**You did not keep me up, I wanted to be there to witness it. But now I am ready for bed. Anything else you need to say can wait until the morning when they have had time to digest things a bit.** Yazmyth replied, as she made her way to the weyr couch, curling up on the well worn stone, her multifaceted eyes concealed behind closed eyelids.
"Sleep well dear heart, I will be right by your side when you wake," Zaira spoke into the silence of the room, Yazmyth's quite snores the only answer she recieved from her dragon.
With a sigh Zaira flopped onto the bed kicking her boots off as she did so. Her mind was working too fast for her to fall asleep, the words of the other Candidates muffled this far into the room.

L’card looked over as Zaira as she entered with another White dragon following her “Two...two white dragon” He could not beleaive this and it was still big though slightly smaller than the first one. L’card watched Zaira walk off the to the girls side not even bothering to say hello.
Well he didn’t really blame her as he had not really been in a talkative mood till the others had shown up and started talking to him.
K’inzar followed Zaira in to the barracks with Zyrii and Judiath “Right girls side is over there, but don’t think you will be staying long, you should be getting a weyr of your own” K’inzar said stopping seeing Mia on the floor with her white and a little blue green mix right in her face. “Hello, hello, hello, hello what’s happened here?”

M’ess watched as Zaira walked past them sort of ignoring them or snubbing them. M’ess picked up that the women did not wan to talk to them.
M’ess was happy to see an adult at last “Whats going on… i would like to know that to…Zarunath just let out a cry and then tried to stop me leaving the barracks saying someone said we had to stay what’s that about?” He asked knowing only one reason for dragons to get up set and that was at the loss of their own kind

"As long as Judiath can rest." With that one comment, the girl walked past her guide, entered the girls' side, and quickly scanned it to find an empty spot. As soon as she located the closest one to the door, she headed immediately for it, anxious to set the queen down so both could rest properly. The gold was carefully let down on what looked to be bedding for a dragon and the human promptly threw herself on the bed, exhausted from the energy of the Hatching and the effort of carrying a living creature what seemed such a large distance.
The urgency was gone now, and it was easier to think. First of all, she had walked past so many people without a word. That was rather rude, and she should apologize, but her feet were content to remain where they were rather than be forced to carry her weight again. Also, there seemed to have been a fuss outside that she paid only minimal attention to. It was probably about the whites, since she had seen both of them on her way in, though now could not place quite where either had been spotted. That's right, the ones who had left for the barracks before the first white Impressed would know nothing about them. Well, whatever. She had already seen them, heard bits and pieces about them, and she could always find more out later. What was so much more astonishing about them than about the two with mixed colors? Zyrii really was not awake enough to focus on such subjects, as was proved that immediately after the question crossed her mind, she lost her train of thought and fell asleep.
However, the dream was vague, confusing, and short, causing the girl to wake up only minutes after falling asleep, and with a headache. Probably the result of too much on her mind before sleeping. Well, whatever. She dragged herself to a sitting position, unwilling to repeat that experience and hoping to clear her mind some before making another attempt at getting some rest.

K’inzar watched Zyrii head off to the girls side…he would try and talk to Zaira later about the whole thing.
He turned to the tall lad who asked him the questions “I think it is best id you wait till the Weyrling master comes and talk’s to use” he said to them thinking he was not the best person to tell them what was going on
“So your not the weyrling master” L’card said to K’inzar wondering who was the weyrling master.
”Nope don’t responsible enough” K’inzar said to L’card he had been the lad with the washed out bronze that had attacked him. This brought a note of worry to the riders mind as the lads bronze may be under scrutiny of the conclave when it was held

Mast thought his rider wanted to play and turned from Mia to his own rider then to Silvyth “Come we get mine…he play” with that the blue lept on his rider
D’von only had time to let out a little cry as he was jumped on by his dragon “Mast get off me you dead glow…i don’t want to play and watch those claws” D’von said trying to fend of his dragon. Who was not sitting on his chest
Mast tooted happily “I win” and letting out a dragon type laugh

M’ess was not sure he liked what he was hearing. Something sounded up and it was not just with the two whites hatching something had really gone wrong.
“Are we still allowed to go join our family at the feast?” M’ess asked remembering he had told his brother he would see him there and know how his brother would go on and on at his parents if M’ess didn’t turn up.
