Please put that I, Archer, referred you to Aldesia Weyr in your first application. Thanks!
Aldesia Weyr[/b] is set in the 6th Pass of the Red Star
Current Weyrleaders: L'rek and Rayelle
For the last few weeks, Aldesia Weyr has been without it's Weyrwoman. Months before, at the beginning of the Turn, a plaque swept through the Weyr, Cerosia Hold, and many of the smaller holdings, infecting herdbeasts, runnerbeasts, civilians, and riders. The healers were frantic because they did not have a cure prepared. It took about five months to find, produce, and administer the cure to this unknown illness, but by then, nearly half of the infected had succumbed and died. As the healers were gaining control of the epidemic, Aldesia Weyr's Weyrwoman, Lea, was hit hard by the sickness and it claimed her life a month after she had fallen ill. Lea's dragon, Gold Caseth, laid a clutch of 28 eggs, which contained two queen eggs, a week before Lea died. Torn by grief, Caseth vanished between. Weyrleader D'rith, who loved Lea dearly, committed suicide a few days after Caseth vanished, his dragon Ferath following shortly after him. The illness had reduced Aldesia Weyr's number greatly.
Luckily, Silverrider Rayelle and her dragon, Daritith, transfers from another Weyr, arrived to help lead the weyr and she is most likely to become Aldesia Weyr's next Weyrwoman, since Daritith is soon to have her first flight.
Daritith has flown and laid a clutch of thirty-three eggs on the Sands. Candidates are being Searched for the Hatching and the Weyr looks to their new Weyrleaders to lead them through Threadfall. But all is not well with the Lord Holder of Cerosia Hold. Tensions between the Weyr and Cerosia are strained, mainly because of the Lord Holder barging into the Weyrleaders' Feast and telling the dragonriders that they are neglecting their duties and are to blame for his loss of a few herdbeasts.
Will Aldesia Weyr rise and prosper, or will turmoil tear it apart? Join us today and find out! All positions are needed, but we really need Candidates for the clutch. Also, any weyrfolk or dragonriders would be welcome too. Bronzes, Browns, Greens and Blue dragons are available for dragonriders, as well as our non-canon Crimsons. Many open high-ranking positions are open too, such as Masterharper and Candidate Master.
