“yes i suppose you have” M’ess said looking at Mia’s dragon for a moment.
“I think the weyrling master called it right though by saying they are snows, they are far too big for any white” he said laughing as Sylvith flopped down.

“Are you going to be attending the hatching feast? He asked Mia” He know he was going to have to go, with his little brother being there and what would happen if his brother didn’t see him.

G’ree felt exasperated by all of this, he had thought taking over as Weyrling Master would be easy... he had always been good with young children. But this had thrown a real bump in the road.
“I don’t think things are going to be that easy, Kisa has classed the snows as blues and like you said yourself they aren’t blues, i don’t even think i could put them in the same class as a bronze” G’ree said sighing
“But your right i need to go see Morga and i think i need more than one mug of beer”

She frowned thoughtfully, she hadn't even thought about the feast. Sylvith would be fine on her own, she was getting sleepy anyhow, and it wouldn't be for too long. Mia could use food as well, and a chance to get out into a crowd to let herself think. After her moment of contemplation came to an end, she nodded. "Yeah, I think I will. How about you? Got any family or anything who'll be there?"

I am going to find someplace to lay down now. Do you have a preference of where we sleep? The pale dragon looked at Mia as she rose and padded back over, tilting her head patiently. Mia shook her head, and gave the dragon's eyeridge an affectionate scratch before Sylvith padded into the barracks alone and settled onto the first couch she saw empty.

M’ess nodded “Yes my mother father and younger brother came to the hatching…i will have to go as i promised my brother i would and he gets upset when people don’t keep their promises to him” M’ess said wondering how his brother had been getting on at the hall with out him, he hoped no one was treating him badly. If the had as soon as Zarunath was big enough to fly and go between he would go to the hall and set a few knees knocking.
“Do you have any family who is going to be at the feast?” He asked if Mia didn’t he would offer for her to come join his family as it may be better in a group than on their own and his father was more than a match for any nosey holder.

D’von didn’t know what he was going to do next. A moment ago he had been all set to get changed and go to the feast and talk to Lady Talia and E’lric he know the two off growing up near east cliff, but now that seamed to have gone all up in smoke… he would see what the others were going to do.
He looked over at L’card “Have you got any family waiting at the feast for you?” he asked him

L’card shook his head “No my parents were against me coming here and they are to busy anyway” L’card said he had not really cared if his parents had come or not or his grand father though it would be nice of him as lord holder to come to a hatching.

“Oh...my parent didn’t come ether, i think they were just happy to be free of me” D’von said wondering if it would be rude if he went and saw Talia and E’lric, but E’lric had seen him and said to come see him at the feast.

“So what are you going to do?” L’card asked D’von not sure if he would go to the feast himself. After all he had been attacked by his own dragon and clawed and after seeing the healer he really didn’t fancy going to a feast where he would be bumped and knocked about… though he didn’t fancy remaining in the barracks on his own

”I don’t know, i want to go to the feast but if i am on my own then there is a risk some holder will corner me and try and ask me a load of question I don’t have a clue about, But E’lric said i could go talk to him but he might be helping with all the trouble with that bronze” D’von said know he wanted to go but he didn’t fancy leaving L’card here on his own, he was a rider now your hold back ground didn’t matter. Though this didn’t lean D’von was going to play him at cards

"Nope. At least none I can think of." She shrugged, more than accustomed to fending for herself. She was a shrewd young woman, a sharp wit that was to be rivaled with at times. It didn't bother her that most of the new weyrlings had families they were goping to be meeting with, in fact she was faintkly pleased she wouldn't be bomdbarded with questions, and some which she undoubtably would not want to answer. It was by far easier on her not to have relatives waiting, though she wasn't looking forward to going down alone. Maybe staying up here? Sure, it would be a far cry from the fun the past weyrlings, and likely the future ones, would have, but what did she care? She was no party animal, driven mad by confinement after all. "Your brother sounds cute." She smiled, chuckling at the explanation of how upset M'ess' brother got over broken promises.

M’ess had to chuckle, yeah some found his brother cute…but it was not easy having a little brother with learning and speech problems.
Both his parents had to work hard in the hall and a child like his bother could easy be over looked and just given to do drudge kitchen work. M’ess had wanted more for his brother.

“Yeah but he is a handful, but he is my brother…if you want you can join my family and me if you like, my father is not someone a holder would try and mess with, though really he’s a softy…its my mum you have to watch for” M’ess said chuckling about his parents

”Well its not making up any of my mind sitting here” D’von got up going to where his things were pulling out a good shirt and trousers and finding his boots.

“If…”D’von said as he pulled the candidate robes off “I am going to sit around making my mind up whether or not i am going to the feast…” He words were muffled as he pulled the shirt on over his head. “I am going to sit around in comfort and not is some glorified dress” He said pulling the trousers on and then grabbing his boot, sitting down to do them up
